Gamethread: The Deron Williams apreciation night at Nets at Jazz 1900 30/3/2013

Tinsley: 18 minutes
Burks: 6 minutes

It kind of sucks we're going to make the playoffs and this crap is going to continue next season.

If mo williams would have never been injured, then burks would probably be averaging about 5 minutes per game and everyone would still be saying that burks isn't playing because he cant play within the offense, he is a chucker, cant defend, and cant shoot..... Thank god mo got hurt so we could at least find out that burks can in fact run the offense and play with in it, that he is not a chucker, that he can defend, and that he can shoot from the outside.

Now that we are healthy..... bye bye burks and carroll :(

I had to watch the Brooklyn feed because of blackout rules and both of their announcers said that was good D and not a foul by Hayward.

I didnt say it was a foul. I'm saying what I read from their lips. Deron comes over while Reggie Evans is bricking his free throws and gets real close to Hayward and says with a smirk, "you know you fouled me." To which Hayward shakes his head and smiles, "I was straight up." He then continues to sorta ignore deron while deron continues to play mind games. I can't tell ya what was said after because the camera went back to Evans shooting

It was a foul, though. Hayward had his off hand on Deron's shoulder and basically used it to get a little more lift/hold Deron down.

Joe Johnson injured?

Once again we barely win against a bad team/barely a playoff team.

Burks, 5 mins. I get why Foye was left in. But why isn't Burks getting pt at the point? From what I've seen he's easily as good as Mo.

Junkyard dog, another DNP. Man, I bet he's pissed.

This.... I'm so pissed with the way in which burks gets treated by Ty...

And I just hope Carrol will look passed all this and still sign with us next year...

Ty could really be risking that with Carrol!!

Also did anyone see Deron tell Al after he missed his first free throw in the third quarter...

"I'm gonna make you an All-star Al" then he chuckled!!

Sounds like Dwill seen it this way to,

Deron Williams on Hayward's block: He knew he held me. He held me with his off-hand. (1280, Utah Jazz)

I thought that hayward had his hand on derons shoulder but that he was really pushing with that hand and it was mostly just incidental contact.
Great block by hayward and good no call by the refs.

Later in the game hayward got a block on kris humphries and fouled the hell out of him with no foul called though.

I thought it was a good block on Dwill too. Nice to see Hayward get a little revenge for the rookie season pass from Dwill. I think Dwill got his eyes opened a little after last night.

Deron Williams on Hayward: Jazz fans, they still talk about that, me yelling at him [in Gordon's second NBA game], that time I threw him the ball*...It's fun to go up against him. He's going to be a special player.
* Threw him the ball...threw the ball at him. What's the difference, right?

Anyone else find it ironic that they brought Memo out on the court to be cheered and celebrated on the night that Deron came back (and obviously was booed)? Are our front office just total d-bags?

...this has been the least enjoyable season for me as a Jazz fan and I've been following them nearly 20 years....but another season of Corbin and I am going away.

1. Then you really missed the early Jazz days. You probably wouldn't have what it takes to make it through ONE season in the early days.

2. Don't let the door hit ya where the Spaghetti Monster split ya
