'That's just him being him'

I really do not like Garnett. I do not know if he was always this way or if it is more noticed now that he is on a high profile team. Either way piss on Garnett.

He wasn't always this way. he replaces the failing parts of his game with dirty play

Yup his competitiveness has not diminished, but his abilities have so this is what he has resorted to. I bet if he's doing these things for your team he's probably likeable.

Wrong. He has always been a dirty player. I posted a vid compilation towards the end og the game thread. He plays tough guy until he is about to get his *** beat.

For sure first he learned the elbow in the back to replace his rebounding then the low blow to replace shot blocking next it'll be fish hooks to replace his running

Not to me. I am a fan of tough, physical play. I like nice rock hard picks, knocking a guy on his butt instead of letting him get the lay up, ripping a rebound out of a dudes hands...

What Garnett was doing was to hurt guys. The elbow to Millsaps face had no purpose, the ball was already away. The elbows to Big Al were after the play was called dead. There is playing "dirty" and then there is what Garnett was doing.

what ius a travesty is favors was ejected for les antics.
sick and tired of the crap star treatment garnet should have been ejected simple as that

Whatever we think about it, it worked.

Al had a very poor game. At first he looked just overexcited but when he started settling into his game Garnett took him out of it. It became a personal feud which is what KG wants. If AJ simply played within himself the team would have followed and Utah would have beaten the refs and the Cs. I sure hope Al learns from this.

Games like this will be good barometers of how the team is capable of responding to playoff level intensity. If we play the Spurs in the 1st round we can't win unless the players match that energy while playing with discipline. Those guys know how to cheat too.

Someone should have knocked KG on his ***.

Instead, we let him continue to destroy us.

I really miss Harpring. He didn't take crap from nobody.

Dirty plays, but what is more concerning is that our guys let it happen. Nobody did anything about it. Someone needed to get in there and knock KG on his ***.

I understand toughness and physical play...

This is simply a case of cheap shots. If that is what the NBA wants their image to be, then they are handling it the right way. When I see this kind of crap, I just think the NBA is rigged. The league allowing it makes it more like professional wrestling than Basketball.

I think the league ought to look at the film of a game like this and hand out fines and suspensions... even if the player is experienced enough to not get caught. Garnett is a bully, and the refs rewarded him for being a bully.

It reminds me of the way Chris Webber was rewarded (even congratulated) for the cheap shot on Stockton. By looking the other way the NBA is rewarding thugs like Garnett. If you reward it, it will escalate. The NBA game is immensely more physical than it was 20 years ago, and I am less of a fan that I was then. If I want to watch WCF, I would watch it. I don't, and the past few years I find myself watching less NBA as well.

This statement is very false. When Utah went to the finals I thought I was watching a hockey team.

There was an article in SI or ESPN The Magazine. I can't remember which one. They had a column where, "X Player" talked about another player. This X Player said Garnett is basically the biggest bitch in the league when it comes to confrontation. Said he can dish it but can't take it and when confronted, he gets scared of being in a fight.

Absolutely agreed. It angers me to no end someone didn't take one for the team and give Garnett a cheap shot after that.

Amen. Don't start that crap but you sure as hell better stand up for yourself.

I don't respect that type of play one bit. But, that being said, the team has to stand up for itself even if it means a few fouls and possibly technicals.
