You are sold on Cutler in big spots, but not Ryan? Broncos fans have seen how Jay Cutler plays with the playoffs on the line. Disaster.
Not this year, but I also said the same thing about Arizona two years ago. The Rams are on the right path, though, and I hope they win the division just to get a taste of the postseason. Remember, there is someone on this board who had as one of his "locks" that no way would the Rams win more than 5 games this year.

Sports is a ton about expectations and psychology. The Falcons will have the #1 seed, yes, but with that comes a lot of expectations and I'm not sure they, notably, Ryan, can handle that. Hell, he's played in one playoff game and lost. So he's going to go from no playoff wins to Super Bowl bound? I don't see it. Last week, when something was sort of on the line, at home, he lost.
The Bears on the other hand have been given no credit by virtually everyone all year. Yet their defense is still very strong, their running game is better this year imo than in their Super Bowl season (Forte looks great and Taylor is a great 3rd down back), and Cutler, as dumb as he is at times is greater than Rex Grosman. In short, I think Cutler's realized he can't win games on his arm alone and can't keep being a douche if he wants to be successful in this league.
So yes, I could see them going. My gut tells me them, and I would then say the Saints, Pack, and Eagles in that order would be my next guesses, all ahead of Atlanta.

If Sanchez and the Jets can torch the Bears, there's no reason not to believe that Matt Ryan, Roddy White and Michael Turner can't. I'm not saying the Bears defense is a liability, but I would bet on the Falcons any day vs the Bears in the Dome.

Well being able to draft in the top five almost every year certainly helps (hehe kiddin').
Bradford is going to be the next Aaron Rodgers.
Finally getting football people in place in the organization rather than The Dragon Lady's cronies also helps.

I have no argument against other than to say that it's my gut feeling, and the Jets offense is not nearly as bad as people make it out to be. Heck, they average more offensive yards per game than the Falcons and do so with a much tougher schedule in a tougher conference.

Cutler has had an excellent run of good luck this year regarding passes that should have been picked. This is nothing new, but his mechanics are horrible (he seems to always be passing while back-pedalling) and his decision-making, while improved, still leaves a lot to be desired. That may catch up with him in the playoffs where he will feel more pressure to force throws and produce.
Also, the same argument for the Bears (being underrated) could be said about the Falcons. Matty-Ice is playing very well, especially at home, and I think people have talked more about Randy Moss this season then Roddy White who is arguably the best WR in the league...and then there is HOF'er Tony Gonzalez. IMO I would take the Falcons over the Bears.

Noted. These Falcons remind me of the '98 Falcons with Chandler. Nobody really bought into them either (at least I didn't) and they just kept winning to a #2 seed and huge upset in Minny to get to the Super Bowl.

Some interesting tid bits for fellow Phin Fans in here:
-CBS Sportsline has a report up that Parcells has talked Dolphin Owner Stephen Ross into bringing Sporano back next year with a new OC.
-The two highest names on the Phins wish-list are said to be Josh McDaniels or Gary Kubiak should he be fired from Houston.
I find this as welcome news. Did not want to see the Phins starting over from scratch yet again. I really think the bulk of Miami's problems are on the offensive side of the ball and getting rid of Henning for the likes of McDaniels or Kubiak would be an absolute coup for Miami.

Kubiak is staying in Houston and they are bringing Wade Phillips in to take charge of the defense, reportedly. Also, I find it hard to believe Pat Bowlen would hire a Shanahan clone (poor defense and ST's, but explosive offense) 1 year after firing him. Don't be surprised if Studesville gets the job and surrounds himself with top notch assistants. He is well respected by the locker room and around the NFL. He has also handled himself well as the interim HC and brought some sort of honor and respect back to the Broncos organization. Word is he will propose to Bowlen bringing in Jim Fassel as the OC/Assistant HC and the guy that worked as Fassel's DC in the UFL as the new Broncos DC.

Yes, Studesville got the job as interim HC in his first year as a Bronco because the he was already so well respected within the organization 6 months into his Broncos tenure. Players love him, supposedly.

Why even fly to Seattle if you're going to play not to lose? I had no illusions of a playoff victory, but it would have been nice to get a taste. The **** is ****ing ridiculous.
