George Hill Update

It's actually a brilliant move, psychologically. The Jazz stand to be the physical and philosophical rival of the Warriors. Withholding their their full lineup when health is a question mark puts off the real contests until later in the season (April 10th) and a possible playoff matchup.

The Spurs pulled a similar move to rest their starters during a nationally televised game against the Heat a few years ago. It bugs a lot of people, but it also places a competitive premium on their actual full-strength meetings.

The added bonus is that if the Jazz win without Favors (and Hill, Burks) then it casts another interesting wrinkle on the next meeting, wherein the Jazz will likely be at full strength.

Right now I have a hard time calling for the Jazz to ever likely be healthy.

I agree, any team can beat any other team on any given night. But I still expect the Jazz to win those games. Any game they lose besides tonight is a preventable loss IMO.

the raptors are one of the top 6-7 teams in the league. Foolish to think that's any kind of automatic win.

Pretty sure it's to get Ingles more time since he's the warriors killer.

Maybe they picked the Kings as the most likely team not to take advantage of him being out of game shape and rythym? That would be my guess. A healthy Favors could be a big asset against the Warriors, one that is not 100% could be a liability.

Did Favors travel with the team or did they send him home so he could get some extra rest?

Like Utah just proved tonight.
Jazz are in the top ten. They are FAR from being among the elite. Toronto is better. Hopefully Utah can get a split.

Starting to think Igor would be better coaching than Snyder ,I think Jazz are elite but big matchups they play tight ,still trying to pass when it's obvious the other team knows what you're doing .Best teams play loose ,Jazz don't play loose .

Is Igor known to loosen things up?

99% of his posts are blaming Snyder for everything that is wrong in the world. It's been this way ever since Snyder began to reduce Kanter's minutes to get Gobert on the court more.

Could have really used a scorer and postup threat tonight. No one was good on the block. Kanter could have helped win that one I think. Gobert lack of postip game really hurts when the offense is struggling.

I agree that he would've been a major positive on offense, but GSW is pretty much impossible to beat with Kanter playing heavy minutes. OKC recognized that in the WCF and basically didn't play him at all for most of the series.

watch the game .... AND they lost when they had them by the throat

junior son,at some point you'll realize Gobert's rise is jazz rise, not Snyder's coaching.I worry Dante will reject Snyder and won't want to sign with Utah

Do you even know what you're arguing against? You keep knocking down points that I've never made.
