George Karl

Hire Karl! Fire Corbin!

Along with getting a more competent coach, it'll bring up some seriously awesome bad blood between Utah/Denver.

MAKE IT HAPPEN, GREG!

Amazing. All these good coaches -- Karl, maybe Hollins, Collins, even Delnegro who is better than Corbin, are let go and we keep the crappy Corbin ...

This came out of nowhere. It sounds like the negotiations broke down today which means that Denver probably misses its GM.
I expect George Karl to take the job with the Nets.

Why would Karl want a job with us when there are so many more glamorous and attractive jobs open?

Folks, we're a good 2-3 seasons away from playoff contention. And if you leave the Utah Bubble, not many people think our FO is very competent. I know everyone here has this hope or belief that we're like the Spurs or something... But if you were to talk to anyone outside of Utah, they'd laugh at what we've done over the past 3 years.

Favors, Kanter, Hayward, Burks, 2 more draft picks and the TON of cap space. Jazz aren't the ugly step sister you make them out to be.

When Russillo did his NBA podcast for ESPN, he spoke very well of KOC and on several occasions called him one of the best GMs in the game.

Brooklyn, Memphis, and LA all have open spots. Sorry. But Utah is going to be ugly stepsister to those franchises.

Also, the jazz have serious question marks. We think the c4 is awesome. But we don't know for sure. We think thrnFO has a plan. many of these coaches aren't so sure. With so many question marks surrounding our team and management (are they really committed? Or merely want to churn a profit? Will the FO dictate to the coach? Think karl would put up with the FO telling him to feature big al and millsap over kanter and favors? doubt it) good coaches are going to go elsewhere.

Cool. Cap space. So who we gonna sign?

Just answer me this: who in this fa class is an improvement over what we have? Don't mention cp3, cuz he aint coming.

I think both Hollins and Karl are obviously better more experienced coaches the Corbin is currently. To me Karl's situation was a combination of the GM situation and his contract situation heading into it's last year not wanting to be perceived as a lame duck coach (deserves more respect then that) and not feeling a part of the future direction of the team. Also I'm sure his poor playoff record had something to do with it.

Hollins is harder to understand but seems mostly analytics and contract negotiations holding that thing up.

But I'd be remiss to not say that SOME people might not be as smart or as right as they think they are on this site as well as to close/emotional to the situation and can't look at the Jazz objectively. As far as their opinions of Corbin go.

With that said this year is a make or break year for him and it makes it easy to let him go or keep him depending on the direction and development of the young players.
