What's new

Gerald Wallace on the Block...

I guess I'm the only guy here that is not in love with Wallace. Jazz have plenty of 4s and they don't necessarily need more 3s that can't shoot. They'd have to trade AK and Okur would have to be resurrected in order for me to be stoked, and even then, I don't think the Jazz have the most to offer.

It's at least something interesting to think about, I guess.

I would love to get Wallace. I consider myself and AK fan and losing him for Wallace would not hurt my feeling's at all.

...but would Wallace love Utah? Seems to me he'd die a 1,000 deaths having to live in Utah and deal with the lack of night life! Probably wouldn't even report!

Are you just pulling this out of your *** again? I have no idea if he would like Utah or not but how much worse can Utah be than Memphis? There is plenty of night life in utah if you look for it.

Give me Stephen Jackson. He is a perfect fit with Jazz IMO. Can score, can create his shot, can create for others, is a solid defender, has size advantage in his position, can score when game is on the line. If he is focused and ready to play for Sloan, he would be the missing piece.

Common misconception. Utah has a great night life.

I wouldn't mind Wallace or Jackson. We need a legitimate threat from the 2 position, either one of those would be an upgrade to AK.

SJax is the only headcase I would love the Jazz to get a hold of.

IAWTP.

The gravy is, Jackson hasn't actually been a headcase for a few years now. He's solid. Too many people judging him solely on his past. He's been a relative choir boy lately.

Every single one of these trades are ridiculous. The Bobcats are not looking to shed salary unless they get some young cheap talent in return.
They are gauging interest because they are underachieving right now. Stephen Jackson and Gerald Wallace are good players and the rest of the league knows that. But the bobcats are well below 500 right now so they are smart to look changing up the lineup.

I love how everyone on this board loves Stephen Jackson but than half of the board hates CJ. When CJ shoots very similar percentages from 3 and most people hate CJ because he is inconsistent from 3. Do people realize Stephen Jackson rarely shot over 35 percent from the field? He isn't much of an upgrade over Miles. He is better but not much.

We don't have anything to offer the bobcats. Unless we take back Diaw's bad contract its not going to happen. We could trade AK for Wallace or Jackson & Diaw but Bobcats are not going to dump those 2 players unless somebody takes Diaw's contract.

There will be better offers on the table than what we have to offer.

....he doesn't play for Memphis....he plays in North Carolina....lots of night life there! I'm only going by observation. I could be completely wrong....he might even want to resign with Utah...and give them a home town discount!!!

Only trade I see the Bobcats making. You can switch Jackson for Wallace also.

And taking on Diaw's contract would not be good especially for a back up PF. It wouldn't make sense for the Jazz to do this when Okur is coming back. Not enough minutes for Jefferson, Millsap, Okur and Diaw. Diaw would play 10 minutes a night for 2 years and get paid 20 million.

How about both Crash and SJax for AK.

Works in trade machine.

Do it. Now. DO IT!!!!!!!

I actually think Charlotte would consider this if you throw in Hayward and the rights to Tomic. But I think they would consider it for the same reason the Jazz wouldn't even put it forth; that's a ****-load of money that the Jazz are putting themselves on the hook for. Especially going into a new CBA that where salaries will be going down.

It's at least on the same country that Vegas is on....

Actually, SL has plenty of clubs. And Park City is awesome.

I'd rather have Okur than Nazr, and I just don't like Jax.... But yes, we'd probably be a better team after that trade.

I do not like the notion of trading Raja. His experience and tenacity will be huge against the veteran powerhouses in the West, like the Spurs and the Lakers.
