Go Get Kyle Lowry

I’m not saying he’s gonna turn into LeBron, I’m just saying give him the ball and let him live & learn, rather than let him sit on the bench behind a Kyle Lowry.
Well that's fine. Just weird to invoke lebron. Could have used trey burke as an example. Lots of rookies get minutes early on.+
Trey burke started 68 games as a rookie and averaged 32.3 minutes per game. So you hope that Keyonte takes the trey burke path for his rookie year lol.

I admit, it doesn't have the same ring to it as "take the lebron james path"

Brother Keyonte didnt even play PG in college. He's going to need time. He should get minutes for sure, but he would tank the team if we let him loose at PG from Day 1.

I mean we were running THT out there as a point guard. I'm not saying start him day 1, but if we don't bring back Clarkson (which it is looking like,) there will be minutes to be had.

There's going to be minutes everywhere for sure. Utah has a pretty fluid roster, almost no one other than Walker is positionally locked to one spot.

The Jazz still have no natural 3's so you are going to see plenty of 3 big lineups or 3 guard lineups. I'm sure Brice/Keyonte will probably be given some rookie treatment early on. Maybe Hendricks too. If Hardy uses the same style he used last year he's not just going to be giving out free minutes because you're a first rounder, but he will give out spot minutes here and there.

Not sure about Lowry
Jazz got rid of 37 yr old Conley making 20 mil
Now they bring in 37 yr old Lowry making 30 mil
Seems Jazz could get a better fit for less money

and what would be the problem with "tanking the team" it's what they should have done last season and they screwed it up. let's get it right this year and ensure our top 10 pick.
Eh, I'd rather just give the pick this year. It isn't like it goes away. If injuries bring us down, the protections are nice though.

Assuming no mid-summer drama between Luka and the Mavs, I personally think they're going to go after one of: Bruce Brown, Caris LeVert or Austin Reaves. Makes the most sense from a talent and timeline perspective.

Hardy seems to be a strange point guard whisperer so I'm not even remotely worried about that position. Between Sexton, THT and Dunn we are about as deep at point guard as we have been in a long time.

Yeah. If Ochai can develop into being able to create off the bounce, especially step-back threes, that's a championship level roster. He showed some flashes of that last year, but still a ways to go. If he can't develop it, we'll definitely need a better shooting guard.
Ochai... step-back... threes?

I'm off the Kuzma train now as I think with the draft picks we made, he doesnt make a lot of sense for the roster.

There's not any free agents I like really, so let's sell the cap-space.

I'm not sure what we can get for taking on Lowry, but I wouldnt need much. I actually want Lowry on the team for his vet leadership. I think he would be huge for a guy like Keyonte George.
Depends on what we get... but I could get down with this.

Lilliard for Clarkson (sign and trade), Sexton, and picks and whatever other piece they want. Markennen and Kessler not involved. Try to keep Hendricks out of it.

Seems absolutely pointless really. Especially when you even admit "I'm not sure what we can get for taking on Lowry, but I wouldnt need much".
Vet leadership and you can get something. He expires after a year. George wont have good PG vets in front of him as currently constructed. Lowry is a dog on both ends still and can help him.

With that huge of a contract on that old and small of a player it better only be 1 or two picks.

Jesus, I’m completely convinced Cy is singularly posting to troll. Some of his takes are ridiculously bad. Like, “Hey, no, Netflix actually actually has really strong original programming, top to bottom,” bad. Kyle Lowry? The dude was cooked, when he went to the Heat, and was only semi-cooked there. And we ain’t Heat culture and aren’t contenders. Why the hell would 37 and a half to start the season Kyle Lowry want to play here and be what we need? Dumb af.

It's damian ****ing lillard coming off a career year
Agreed. Doesn't make him any younger, bigger, or cheaper. Also doesn't make us ready to contend and also doesn't make him have a history of playoff success.
Ss for career year, great time to sell but maybe not the best time to buy. But low sell high baby
