Gone Girl

Did anyone read the book Gone Girl and love it as much as I did? If so, are you stoked that the movie is coming out October 3rd?

I love Flynn and the way her mind works. After I finished this, I immediately read Dark Places and Sharp Objects as well.

If you haven't read Gone Girl, you readers out there, I highly, HIGHLY, recommend it.

Ok. I'm gonna read it.
(My wife loved gone girl)

I was looking for my next kindle book. I will start here.

Well I have a few still to read on my kindle but I just bought this book too.

Will get to it in a few months I'm sure

My wife is just starting it. I assumed it was a chick book. Maybe I'll look into it.

Absolutely not. Read the book. I struggle with how they'll adapt it into a book and still maintain the integrity of the book, quite frankly.

Well I looked it up and it's gonna be quite difficult to get that book in NZ - will take like 30 days to have it shifted from the US/UK.

Is there any way I can read this online somewhere?

No, not possible. Amazon hasn't been invented yet. Kindle only refers to starting fires.

LOL, bigb, I didn't mean to "like" your post. Can't unlike though... Not that I dislike your post btw, but I just wanted to comment and hit the wrong tab.

At any rate, I'd say it's most definitely NOT a chick book. It's more of a thriller with twists and turns. Probably not what anyone would consider "great literature" but a well constructed story that holds your interest and is a fairly quick read.

I'd compare it in a way to "Devil in the White City" - - though that was non-fiction. And much longer. And sort of two stories in one. But not a chick book.

Or maybe sort of similar to that "Divinci Code" book that was so popular some years back.

Haha... well didn't feel like forking out $$$ to get kindle.

Some people have these phones, with big flat screens that use small programs to do things, called "apps". There is an app called "Kindle by amazon.com" and it is free, which means it doesn't even cost any sheepskin or conch shells or walrus penises or whatever you use for trade down there. With this free app you can get books delivered straight to the phone. Kinda smart huh?

My phone is 5 inch wide, but it's certainly still too small to read a whole book off of though. My brother has an iPad but wouldn't wanna bother him.

5 inches wide would be bigger than a paperback book. Do you mean 5 inches diagonally? This is still plenty big enough to read a book on, but to each his own.

Yeah meant diagonally, and it's actually 4.7. If I have an iPad Mini it would probably be OK, but this thing is too small.

Bite the bullet and bought the book, 1/4 of the way through, really enjoying it so far... you're right it's a good little thriller....

Wes/Gip/QuinsHair - you forgot to mention the protagonist's name is "Nick". What are you trying say bro?? LOL ...
