Goodbye Booze, Hello To An Old Friend?

It well be a question to Miller. hmmmm $3 million or $420 thousand. Not that I disagree with you guys. I would take him back over Jeffers in a second. But would he get Jeffers like playing time?

Same here, unless its just a ploy to keep Deron happy.

DWill / Price / Gaines
Matthews / Ronnie / Jeffers
CJ / Hayward
Millsap / AK (6th) / Evans
Fes / Koufos / Memo

We played w/ this team before ... (Sub Haward for Korver, who should be a better playmaker than KK)
Then we'd have ~19M (6M + 13M) to use in a trade????

Seriously, If this doesn't prove that Jazz Management has no ****ing idea what they're doing...I don't know what does.

I agree one hundred percent. Another example how this organization stays the course. Ronnie is a nice player but if you can't make jumpshots in the NBA then you are a liability. I am not excited about seeing AK play PF either. He can do it in siituations but he certainly will get worn down with all the physical play. Besides there is some question about his calf injury not healing right. Re-signing Brewer makes little sense especially when the "reason" we got rid of him is because we had a log jam at the SF/SG.

I rather have Ryan Gomes, he can play the SF or PF position.

RB is NOT a nice player: nice NBA players can shoot and play physical defense. RB does not.

But, hey, way to move forward Jazz. Next up, Jarron Collins!

Easy to throw out crap statements on the internet about how stupid the Jazz are for considering Ronnier Brewer. It is a NO BRAINER to consider him. However it is a different thing to SIGN him, becuase that is correlated to the contract he recieves.

Last year there were debates that he is worth $5-7M/year which he'd not worth. Now if he comes back you have to weigh this against other options and their price range. Ben10 put some relevance in the conversation saying: "$3M for RB vs 0.42M for Jeffers... " I think that is too much for brewer but would like him more if price were lower (obviously so would more people.)

However, it is also about what is the forward view. If Boozer were back and we had just signed a center and thought we were contending, then Brewer - at a reasonable price - would be perfect to have in a supporting role - he knows the system, he's a team-oriented guy, so he'd fit in with 0 risk. But, the Jazz are not in a near-contention mode and should probably take a risk on someone else or go for different position with any extra money at this point. The risk is to simply to test drive another option... Brewer is a known entity. Also, becuase there are 4 wings today (assuming wes is re-signed) (and price is a 5th wing in a pinch.) I would re-sign a Jeffers (or equivelant) and save the money for other positions - bigger, longer, etc.

If they get Brewer back Jeffers is gone. That will save them $700,000. Also they could have the BC guard or Kevin Kruger for about $200,000 less than they pay Gaines. Hey that's close to a million dollars saved right there.

Mission Accomplished: Jazz now the most uninteresting team in the NBA
