What's new

Gordon Hayward, Enes Kanter, and Derrick Favors EQUALS Larry Bird, Kevin McHale, and Robert Parrish

Thanks. That is all that I was implying. Nobody really knows how good those three can be when they become the clear centerpiece of the team. If we get Parker or Wiggins in the draft, the Jazz have the makings of a dynasty on their hands.

Now, tell me where I am wrong. Sure, these three players may not be at the 1980's Celtics level yet, but I think that they have the potential to do so.

....what, are you on drugs? Oh, wait! That was Robert Parish! Stopped playing when his "joints" gave out! But on a serious note, the three clowns we got could never equal the athletic ability and brains of the 3 Celtic guys! Best we can hope for is they play good, solid, fundamental basketball and win us 50 plus games! Oh, and that they play "watchable" basketball!

Hopefully this is the year we see what all of our young guys really are. It seems the FO is finally on the same page as its serious fanbase. Any jazz fan that know their **** knows we gotta let the young guys play and that manslap and Jefferdad leaving is a good thing for the jazz. Now we just gotta sit back and watch the Core 5 run the show.

Let Hayward, Kanter and FAvors try to equal Ben Wallace/Rasheed/Rip first before we talk of Bird or McHale.

How can people be so ridiculous?? Or just completely lack common sense? Matthew obviously knew how good those Celtics were, yet compared the potential of HAYWARD, Kanter, and Favors!? NONE of those three will ever come Close to any of the other three. McHale was a better defender than Favors and also scored 23 a game, but on just 14 or 15 shots, in his prime. Right now, Favors puts up over 13 shots for 16.8 points. He'll never improve to that efficiency. Kanter may come close to Parish's 23 points and 12-13 reb per game in his prime, Offensively, but while giving up 10 points a game more than Parish, since Kanter is a horrible defender and Parish was awesome. And as far as Bird-He was top 15, Ever. Hayward is what, 50th in the league Right now? So maybe top 1500 over the last 50 years of the modern era!? If that? Geez

You made this alt just to necro a stupid thread nobody gives a **** about from 3 years ago?

Matthew must be that transparently white short fat dude that wears retro Jazz jersey and headband and makes silly dance moves during the game.

Nope, that was 2014. Oh wait, it was this season. Well, with all the injuries, we'll really see next year.
