Gordon Hayward trade.

You act as if young players always make significant enough improvements. Like you never heard of Kwame Brown, Darko Milicic, Johnny Flynn, Anthony Bennett, Jimmer Fredette, etc.
Any of those guys improved their team by starting in their rookie year?

That's not even the argument. You said he'll be better than Crowder next year. Based on hope. Which is fine if that's honestly how you feel. My point is I can't give credit for improvement until the improvement is witnessed on court.

So Danny Ainge said that he wants to get a rim protector and that ownership wants to speed up there rebuild. Could Utah be the team to help them get that done? Favors for the # 3 pick? Or Favors/Hayward for Bostons 3rd, 16th pick this year and then another 3 1st from Bkn/memphis? Just wondering what everyone thought. Could Favors be the one on the move and Utah keeps Hayward?

Favors is more expendable than Hayward imo. We have Lyles and can getting a combo 3/4 guy is easier than finding elite wing talent. I would want a ransom for the guy though.

I wouldn't trade Favors for the #3 pick... no way I'd do the second deal with Favs and Hayward. If it was #3 and the 2017 BKN pick plus Amir Johnson to make salaries work I'd do it... not sure they'd put that much on the table.
