Gordon Hayward

This here link, it ROCKS, eh, Honzy!?

"INDIANAPOLIS—Members of the Indianapolis-based Butler University basketball team, which defeated top-seeded Syracuse on its way to the school's first-ever Final Four, wondered aloud Wednesday what more they had to accomplish to finally get the hell out of Indiana. "We've won 24 games in a row now, a longer streak than anyone else, and in recognition we get to travel where? To New York? To Los Angeles? No. Across town," Butler star Gordon Hayward said during a press conference. "How am I supposed to motivate and inspire my teammates? We've excelled at the game, and our reward is to be trapped in this armpit? My only consolation is that the three visiting teams get to see how lousy some schools have it." Hayward, an Indiana native, ended the press conference early and left without comment when told an Indiana Pacers scout would be attending the Bulldogs' game against Michigan State."

What's your source? I bet it's reliable... *sigh*

I must say, he had a very impressive game tonight. What I loved the most about his game was that he didn't try to really force anything. He played within the system and let the points come to him. I'm praying that this is one of those games that can kill the tentative play that I saw from him earlier.

Yes I tend to agree.. he's a very smart player.. athletic enough and could potentially become a good shooter.

The thing I'm most high on is his determination to succeed - personally and as part of a team. He will not quit. He will work out a way to become a better player, to score, to make others around him better. He's the kind of guy who would plan out his summer so that he can improve and get ready for the next season. He's got that attitude that he'll succeed no matter what - and that's why I think he'll do well in this league.

I like Hayword a lot. I was upset about drafting him. No I didn't boo but I was upset because I thought the Jazz needed to draft size in this draft. However, I thought the kid had talent and I thought he played pretty well in the summer league but he did seem very timid. The thing I like about the kid is his mental toughness. He doesn't back down even if he is overmatched. I think his defense is better than people think. Of course he will struggle at times but as he gains experience we are going to see the Butler Haywood. I know its early but I haven't see any rookies that were available at 9 that have performed so well that I am regretting the pick.
