What's new

Gordon Monson my new favorite Journalist

Just don't stand behind him. I've been near him twice at the airport and he crop dusted me with a foul bowel demon both times. Once was in line, the other on a cramped luggage bus. My nose hairs were singed and you could tell by the smirk on his face it was his disgusting colon. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me, three times and I'll poo on you.

Wow, good use of sensory imagery, now I'm going to hurl.

Not usually a big Monson fan but that was pretty good. I think he underestimates how strong the Stevens connection is but I agree that GH never really embraced Utah or the fans. The thing that bothered me the most about him was the aloofness or inaccessibility. That could just be his personality, but he never seemed to totally buy in. Contrast that to a guy like Trevor Booker who was only here for a couple years but seemed to love us on a level never approached by Hayward. Booker still has our backs on Twitter.

Hindsight is 20/20. But looking back, I can see now how Hayward never seemed to embrace the fans here. He was nice and all, and we saw some good moments with teammates on the court, but he never said he loved it here, to my knowledge. Look at Joe. Look at Booker and Rudy and Mitchell, who just got here. Hayward never rose to that level of fan connection or loyalty...not even close.

I think Hayward will look back on Utah and realize what he gave up. Unless he wins a ring in Boston he wont have it better anywhere than he had it here in terms of fan support, ownership support, and media who don't bash him. As for Monson, I like his stuff. You may not agree with what he writes but the guy is honest about what he thinks and he does his best to stay objective. He calls it like he sees it. I like that. Of course, I have never been gassed by him.

Maybe he is still bent that we all booed that pick at the draft party.

And if he is, he's more like Jordan than I thought. That is some next-level grudge holding.

I'm not sure I like this.

Seems like he took an opportunity to pile on and appease some fans.

Skip bayless and sharp think it's a big mistake for Hayward to go. They claimed the celtics now will have no bench and that his production will be lower than before. They also stated that Thomas and Bradley will demand max contracts also and that they can't pay 4 people maxes
