Gordon Monson, *******?

Not worried about Monson. I also don't see how a sports team revoking a journalist's press pass sets a "dangerous precedent".
I think that it would suck if every time a journalist criticized a team, that team revoked their press pass.

It could get to a point where journalists are scared to be critical and instead only write positive articles.

I think the whole thing made RSL look like a bunch of amateur's personally. And they didn't necessarily back off willingly, they broke the rules of their own league, and were forced to back off by said league.

I have no problem with Monson. I think he's one of the few journalist in this market that doesn't pander to the teams and franchises in the market. He's a journalist and is paid to give his opinion if the franchises don't like it, that is not his job. The opposite of Monson would be Locke, everything that guy says is tainted in my view, because in the end it is skewed by the franchise he's afraid of offending.
I agree with this post.

His writing style has irked me for years. I hate the peppered one line prose scheme. Here's a barnburner that happens four lines into a recent article that causes me to stop reading:

"It's a big mistake, breh. The colors of France can wait."

Because this golden thought had to be slipped in and standing out on its own.

Monson has been turrible forever. Literally have no idea who he blew to get his start. I guarantee he reads this site, too.

Gordo, please move on to something else.
