Gordon apparently has serious interest from Philly. He may not be around for us to draft at all. He's hard to peg, for sure. A lot of folks on this board are seriously under rating him. Others are overhyping him. But seems that several GMs are high on him.

He's not going 3rd.

If I'm the opposing team I just clog the paint. No shooting, puke. Gordon's lack of offensive game has me very worried.

OK cry baby, replace Burks with Hayward. Then you have Hayward and Burke who can both hit the 3, and Evans can hit a mid riange jumper. Then Evans, Gordon and Favors will just dunk on everyones faces.

To be fair, he didnt say it would be an effective lineup....... but i agree that it could be entertaining for stretches.

They wouldnt have any shooters but they would create turnover and get easy buckets in transition which would help negate thier lack of shooting

How fun would this lineup be to watch?

Trey Burke
Alec Burks
Aaron Gordon
Jeremy Evans
Derrick Favors

Not enough shooting. You need Kanter shooting 3's at C, dragging another big out to the perimeter, IMO. I think you also need Hayward out there too, hoping his 3pt'er last year was a symptom of situation, tempo, and too much ball handling responsibility.

July 5th, 2013 interview with USA Today:

"I think, I can play point guard and he can't," said Gordon when asked to compare himself to Griffin. "He's an incredible player; he's the No. 1 pick. I can't be too mad if people are comparing me to a No. 1 pick. But I can play point guard."

"For my overall career, I want to be a 2/3. That's what I want to get to: a 2/3 being able to handle the ball and posting up. I want to be a complete player. That means every position in my arsenal."

"I can stand here and hit open shots all day long. What I need to do is figure out a way to get my shot in the shooting pocket quicker and smoother in the flow of the game. Once I get that, then I think I'm there."

I love how people who have not followed Arizona act like Gordon does not have an offensive game. I watched every game, and am an alumni so obviously biased.

However, the guy just plays basketball. Very well. On BOTH ends of the court. He can't shoot free throws, but he can score points... even in the NBA.

The problem with not making free throws is that it is hard to stay on the court especially in the fourth quarter. So it is a concern. People just scoff and say he can improve on it but doing so isn't always easy to do. If he were around 60 percent now then I might give him more leeway but 48 percent is just horrible. So if his form isn't bad then it is mental. Some times that is even worse because they just can't get pass the mental block and when there is pressure it is even worse.

If Gordon shot FTs better than I would be able to vote for him. However, Gordon is going to need to get stronger which I believe he can and he also will have to develop him jump shot if he is every wanting to be an All-star. If Gordon had a better offensive game and his Fts were in the sixties, he would be in discussion for the top pick. Despite all this I would consider him at #5 even though it is higher than he is slotted.

Gordon for point guard of the future.
