Blake Griffin will be a part of next month's slam dunk contest at All-Star Weekend, according to sources.

Joining Griffin will be Washington's JaVale McGee, Oklahoma City's Serge Ibaka and Milwaukee's Brandon Jennings, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Jennings is currently out with a broken right foot, but he is expected to be healthy for the event.

TNT will officially announce the participants on Thursday night.

This thread is solely about Griffin. Those other guys interest me not one bit. I mean, Brandon Jennings? Are you kidding me?

What? No Jeremy Evans? I have to think he could hang with most of these guys based on nothing more than his leaping ability.

Nate Robinson! Awesome! "Ok this year, I'm bringing in Shaq and I'm going to jump over him. Well not jump over him but use him to lift myself up for a dunk. Then afterwards I'm going to do some stupid *** dance. It's going to be great!" Might as well just do what we did as kids. Use your friends back as a launching pad to dunk. One of my friends broke his wrist doing that. I know you don't care but just so you know, it's dangerous and injuries can okur so be careful.

I have no interest in Howard. Griffin, hellz yes. Nate, ah...I've outgrown him. He's too egotistical and for someone who sucks at the actual sport, it annoys me. Lebron, hellz yes. Maybe someone like J.R. Smith? Evans is actually sort of interesting but he's so damn stringy.

Griffin, Lebron, J.R. Smith and ??? Wall?????

Griffin is a blast to watch, and dunking is exciting... in a game situation. The first couple of dunk contests were interesting - a novelty, really - but it has been a mammoth waste of time ever since, IMO.

I'll miss Magic screaming to me "the dunk contest is back folks, the dunk contest is back!"

There's only so many ways to dunk a basketball. I hate watching watching it because it's the same damn thing every time.

What does Memo have to do with it?
