Who and what is exactly is this guy and will he make the 15 man roster out of camp? He had the shoulder injury in summer league but does have a guaranteed contract.

It's a human being that's trying to find his way in the NBA market as a stretch 4 kind of player. That's what it is.

Didn't see anything last season or during summer league that made me think he would stick. Thought he was a waste of a roster spot.

Under what 5% circumstance would he not be cut? The 6 other guys dont show up for camp?

I think it's more like 100%.

I think the big-position is semi-vulnerable: there's only Favors/Gobert/Lyles/Booker/Pleiss/Cooley there. If, like, 2 of them got season-ending injuries in camp, then they'd probably keep Jerrett until they found a better stopgap. Think Mike Harris.

Now that you say that I do realize how short-necked he is... He's built in a strange manner as far as basketball players go, and runs weird.

I'm horrible, poor guy...

His DLeague stats weren't hideous. In 2 years in 46 games he averaged 14.5 pts shot 44% 37% from 3 and .763 from the foul line with 6.4 rebounds and 1 block per game.

I put those numbers up in the d league last year.

Jerrett sucks... I'd rather keep Cotton, Johnson, or even Cooley... At least Jack will grab some rebounds and make people want to punch his square head.

Watching Jerrett in the summer league, I recall him having kind of a funny shot with a low release. Just don't see him sticking over Cooley if Utah keeps 6 bigs. Lyles has more upside as the 3rd PF. For now he's a tradeable contract if the Jazz need one.
