To be fair, I was never really a huge Niko fan as a stretch four until the face punch (when he became available). His numbers underwhelmed me but it wasn’t until I actually dug into those numbers that I realized how unique and incredible what he does is.

There’s a hell of a lot more to what demonstrates a good three point shooter than just the percentage alone. Dirk, Love, Memo, Bird, Mullin, Stockton, and others are significant proof of that.

And the protection the Pelicans got for their pick was top 5.

Why would the Bulls accept a lottery protected pick?
How much protection could the NOP protection tighten up by if Chicago didn’t have to 1) swallow $23M on a 2 year contract and 2) pony up two second round picks?

Dunno man if he's getting KO'd by one punch he probably needs to do a lot of work on his footwork.

This thread is a year early.

Mirotic wouldn't have made a difference last year. The Jazz were incredible post-deadline last year. If anything, he might have lost the Jazz some more games during the transition phase (the dude has a stretch so ****** in New Orleans he shaved his beard). Mirotic doesnt make enough of a difference to beat the Rockets. The Jazz are in the same spot if they trade for him, but out a draft pick.

Mirotic is nice, and I like him, but he isnt the ideal fit at the 4. He will still have issues against the elite teams. The big fish is still Tobias Harris in 2019. If the Jazz can't sign him, they got more than enough cap-room to sign Mirotic. If they can't sign either of them and strike out on every player who is better or as good as Mirotic, then this thread is a valid question.

I've never seen you be this high on Tobias.

I'd go Middleton then Harris, but I think Khris can play 4 full time and create a bit more than Harris. I'm happy with either.

That’s the premise of the OP (OQ?).

Seems many are. What I find funny are the people clamoring for Harris (not you [or Cy]), while rejecting Niko as an inconsistent three point shooter with bad percentages, yet not being aware of Harris’ numbers.

That said, I like Harris. I just wish he were a stronger rebounder.
