Great 16-17 Season Jazz Storylines

6/14 for 14 points is an A game for JJ?
Dude, not everybody's A game is a Westbrook 48/15/12 triple double. Neto getting 4 and a rebound and no turnovers in eight minutes of play is an A game.

Come on. Not every player in the league is a future Hall Of Famer. Each team member contributes in his way. Jazz have some nice players. If they contribute their individual A game, the team can win. Hell, all the Clippers need is CP3 to have an A game and your team is toast. You need ALL your men to have a top game. It makes for an interesting team to watch. I can't stand watching Melo and Porzingis and 11 other lunkheads around them. I enjoy watching a team. The Jazz have a nice team. If they all do their job, they can give the elite teams a good go.

Eh. That's not a great metric for judging quality trolling. A good troll should at least make an attempt towards cleverness. This is just sad.

No. A successful troll is one who gets bites. Exact reason I have him and other trolls on ignore. They win if they affect you enough to elicit a response.

This is a PSA for those who want troll-free Jazzfanz. Don't respond. Any response is a loss for the community.

Fair enough. Sometimes I just get bored and engaging with morons can be a reprieve from that boredom.

Rudy being taken serious. Signing long term and unequivocally expecting to be a contender. Can't get enough of the chip on his shoulder. Also coming back from injury whether anybody liked it or not to secure game 5. Hayward playing weak in game 5.

The Joes!

The toughness and resilience playing constantly shorthanded has be off the charts.

Hayward coming back beef and being more physical and more skilled than ever.

So regardless of how this postseason ends, this season has been pretty damn special. What are your favorite storylines from this year?

Tough as Nails - Injuries. 50+ wins. Burly.

Ascension of Rudy - obv

Hayward an Allstar - Looks like the first of many.

Joe Johnson - Jesus.

and my fav...

Johnson to Hood for 3 is a thing now. Cute.

What am I missing?

Joe Ingles - everyman to everywhere for the Jazz man.

Collectively, The Jazz did not play that great a Game 5.

According to Locke they had 40 open looks - out of 81 shots total. That is an insane ratio for a playoff game. That's a number you'd see against The Sixers in a home game in December.

And they shot 43%. So they moved the ball around great but the bottom line is they didn't execute.

That fact right there negates any argument that they played an "A" game.

Freaking Rudy Gobert signing four more years for a bit less than the max.
Joe Jesus back next year for 10 million dollars.
It's looking pretty rosy for Hayward to resign.

George Hill had a career year

I love hill and I'm glad we had him. He was looking to shatter his personal bests earlier in the year but he really came back to Earth to finish the season. Almost all of his numbers ended up not being career highs so I'm not sure I'd call it a career year. If hill had been more healthy we'd have not been a 5 seed that much is true.

Career year highest scoring and most efficient he has ever been.
