Greg Miller needs to be questioned about his careless attitude toward the Jazz

David Locke or someone like him should have a sitdown interview with Greg Miller about this. No sugarcoating what is the truth.

Jazz fans should be thrilled that Greg Miller doesn't seem that engaged. He could never pull off being the "hands on" type of owner his father was. All I want from Greg and the Miller family is continue to financially improve the orginization. Doing things like refurbishing team locker rooms, etc. are the type of things Greg should be concerned with, and he's done just that. Another area is being willing to open up the pocket book when Lindsay/O'Conner tell him "we need this guy".

Lindsay and O'Conner are in place for a reason. Greg doesn't need to be as "engaged" as some tend to think.

Rumor has it the new jumbotron is going up this summer thanks to him. Supposedly he was the one who patiently waited until the right technology came at the right price for it.

Besides, What did Larry do with his 'enthusiasm'? Re-sign AK to a ridiculous contract and had the team re-sign CJ even though he was inconsistent, all because he had a 'feeling'.

To be fair it was Greg that gave the okay to re-sign CJ, his dad was still alive but in poor health so his dad was letting Greg "run the show" so to speak.
Also a bit off topic but AK was going to get a max from someone that off season however if you want to say he let his emotions get in the way with trading him then I would agree with that.

I'm sure the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth would come out in such an interview. That said, I don't know of many people (if any) on this board that are in a good position in which to accurately judge Greg's attitude toward the Jazz.

Exactly. All I want from Greg is the same committment his father had for keeping the Jazz in Utah. He has a staff that eats, drinks, and breathes Jazz basketball and it is those experts that should be calling the shots. (Hmm, my use of the word "experts" has me thinking that maybe Greg should bring in a consultant to evaluate the competency of some members of his staff ... or at least his coach ... not that I'm pointing a finger at Corbin .... Ok, dammit: Greg, fire Corbin and then you can go back to your board meeting.)

Agree with Jazzman12 and Ellipse. Greg isn't a big basketball fan so he lets others run the team. Larry H. WAS a fanatic - like the rest of us - so he was fully vested in the Jazz. And that almost got him into trouble a few times (the near firings of Sloan). I think the players respected Larry's passion, just like other owners who truly love their franchises (Cuban, Benson w/ the Saints, etc.). Greg and Gayle went out and got Lindsey, who was a highly-regarded assistant, a year or two before the Jazz really needed to think about a new GM. Who knows if Dennis will be a good GM. But at least they have a man who knows basketball, who was supposedly an innovator in terms of his use of advanced stats. I often criticize Greg, but he's done well to stay out of the way. It will be interesting to see if the checkbook gets opened again over the course of the next two years if/when the cap space of the young Jazz can be used to acquire good vets.

Spot on. Plus, he didn't get in the way of trading Deron. I'd rather have a benign, slightly disinterested owner who defers to the so called basketball experts within the organization and who has shown a willingness to open the pocket book than one who meddles or is crazy or is cheap. It could be worse. Greg seems to be willing to do some things without letting emotion get in the way. To the extent we didn't make certain deals we could have or to the extent we keep Corbin etc., I blame O'Connor and/or Lindsey more.
