What's new

GT: Jazz @ Rockets. Thursday 6 pm MT.

Very few teams could survive the onslaught of bad luck we've had this year. The only other time we were this injured was back in 05 when a following up the promising season we signed boozer and Okur. We felt like a good playoff run was guaranteed. Arroyo, Boozer, and AK ended up injured at the start of the season. Things went all downhill.

I'm getting the same vibe here. It started with Exum, then hit Gobert, then Favors and Burks. Now hood. This is a wretched wasted season. Don't quit yet. But unless we can get healthy in the next few weeks, I'd be down with tanking.

Just one season.

Well think of it this way realistically would you rather finish 7th and face the Spurs or 8th and face GSW?

Finishing 8th might be a blessing in disguise.

Apparently some people here think that being swept by the Warriors is different than being swept by the Spurs?

There has been this hilarious sentiment parroted by several members of the forum that we "match up better" with GSW than we do with SA.

Well the results of the recent games played against those teams would suggest that there is some truth there

Maybe we get swept by either but maybe all 4 games against san Antonio are 20+ point blowouts and maybe we lose some nailbiters against the warriors.
I would prefer less embarrassing over more embarrassing

The sample size is way too small to be certain. Both games against SA the Jazz played like ****, while one game against GS we were in top form. But at the end of the day, even if those 2 games were good indication of how we match up, it isn't much of a silver lining, let alone a "blessing in disguise".

Well our offense is reliant on Hayward, and Kahwi Leonard absolutely shuts him down most matches, so yeah, I think we matchup better with the Warriors.

This team man... They continue to fight. Rudys the best... Friggin love his fire. Not sure why Neto was in for trey in the fourth when the only guy we had that can create was Hayward. We had lyles and Booker on the floor... Not like we were going to stop anybody with that inside presence.

Yes yes and yes! A healthy Jazz team of
Burke-Hood-Gordon-Faves-Gobert
+Burks Booker Lyles Withey and Johnson can give warriors a game. They have done that already.

But if we have to go against san antonio, It's an obvious sweep with minimum of 3 20+ point losses. I actually believe we can win a game against Dubs. Just like memphis did last playoffs.

This injury and almost winning stuff has to be pissing Rudy off. Look out once he is confident in that knee. I think he has the fire to do what needs to be done. Everybody is so afraid of SA and GS. I guarantee Rudy is not.
