What's new

GT: Jazz @ Spurs Jan 15th 6 p.m. - AT&T Center, San Antonio, TX

The statistics say that he was 1 of 1 last season. I didn't see it, but someone clearly did.

And I cannot find the quote, but Kanter elaborated on that shot afterwards saying something to the effect of "I want people to know that this is a shot I can make."

I wonder if his coach knows that? I mean, wouldn't a good coach make use of that, the stretch 4 idea???

You guys must have noticed the comments by Barry on that game, about how the Jazz should run more (we are #16 in league in fast break points, with a young and quick squad) and that Kanter and Favors ought to play at the same time. Methinks he is right, doubt Ty the t--d agrees. It would be especially great to have Kanter on the perimeter when trey/derrick are doing the PnR.

Corbin is against having bigs (not wings playing out of position) shoot 3s. We're seeing that in relation to Millsap's obvious ability to shoot 3s that has been there for years. I think it is dumb and a mistake, especially considering how much the Jazz subsisted on that dynamic for six years (not to mention how dramatic an effect it's had on the Jazz JUST THIS YEAR with Marvin).

Besides, if they throw that role at Kanter and it doesn't work out, well, this is the year to take the "risk".

@TheMattPetersen: Hornacek: "I felt we got three-happy...when we were swinging the ball trying to drive to the basket, that's how we got back into the game."
