GT: Mavericks at Jazz, THE BIG GAME

I still hate the jazz for letting Mathews go. That's who we are though, Hood is next to leave when he becomes a RFA.

Yeah, it's kind of a shame we have no control over keeping a restricted free agent... We should just trade everybody now, but then all the guys we trade for will just leave...better just sell the team.

I don't buy that. Hayward has been a great offensive player on a team that runs the slowest paced offense and never gets out in transition. Our offense developed into this middle of the road shooting team that relies way too heavily on perimeter shooting to save itself from late clock possessions. Vast changes need to be made to our team's philosophy regarding how we play with pace.

Maybe so. I'm probably just overreacting to a really bad game.

Really thought we'd take that next step this year.... Ignore all my posts for the next few days.

I'm gonna have a couple extra tonight. Who's with me?

Not truthful to lay this all on injuries. The jazz still had a great shot at the postseason but lost games they shouldn't have with the players they had available.

Injuries played a huge role this year. But you do have a point. Frustrating. All about growth and learning and they lay a massive egg after the season.

Jazz have no chance when Rodney shoots 1-10. Looks like two former Jazzman played a big part in the Jazz losing. I was probably one of the most vocal jazz fans that hated losing Wes Matthews. Deron killed us tonight. I guess seeing Rudy limping off the court is a fitting end to this injured filled season.

Jazz need a miracle to get in the playoffs and with Burks, Favors and now Rudy not at full strength perhaps it won't be such a bummer not making the playoffs. Jazz need to find a few alpha dogs because it seems they are still weak-minded when it comes to winning the tough games. Jazz had their opportunities and they let them slip away.

Rodney Hood completely **** his pants for us. Completely and totally.

100% agree they have to speed up the game. They play in high altitude and play slower then old teams.
Hayward is really good. He's not great though. Great is an all star. He's not one.

Ugh so frustrating. Injuries kills the Jazz this season.

Not a single team even worth watching in the playoffs. Hope warriors win it all in 16 games.

Bleh. I'm rooting for the Spurs. In the East I am fine with anyone but Cleveland.

Usually after a loss like this I'd be really angry, but I just feel sad. I feel bad for these guys, they've battled all season and haven't had the depth to combat all of the injuries, nor do they or Quin have the experience to adjust to them on their own.

Hopefully they go after a few vets and buy plenty of cotton wool for the off season.

The majority on this board will continue to talk like he's the goose that lays golden eggs though.

Hayward isn't the reason why the Jazz loss. Rodney Hood wilted under the pressure. I agree with the comment about Jazz are weak=minded. They have a lot of nice guys but they don't really have a guy who has that refusal to lose mentality.

I feel like they've taken the going young thing to the extreme. Gotta mix it up a bit in the offseason. Heck even Randy Foye could have been of use in a game like this, he wasn't stellar but he hit almost half of his 3's every game.

I'm not even gonna watch. East is bleh, hate the Mavs, clips, rockets. Memphis I liked till they got all the players I didn't. Spurs are old and boring, Thinder have OKC and Portland doesn't interest me. No thanks.
