GT: Mavericks at Jazz, THE BIG GAME

the Wolves suck ballz idiot We're absolutely fine for next year taking a big jump forward

Karl Towns is gonna be better than any player we have next year and Wiggins could be just as good as any Jazz man. Give that team a real coach and they are on the rise. It is not out of the realm of possibility they could be better. We thought Portland would be crap before the season and look where they are. They have a Star. And we don't and we are young, so no playoffs.

Ive been saying it for the last two years. Hayward is not a #1 player on a top team.
Favors is too soft. As much as I love these guys they just didnt get it done this year.

I just hope with Exum back + a first round lotto pick we improve next year.
Now the pressure is on. We must make the playoffs next season or someone is gone.

I agree G time is not a number 1 option, so what should the Jazz do? Do you think they should trade Hayward or Favors and try to find that tier 1 star?

That's just the thing I don't think there is a clear alternative. Every trade involving G-time or Favors would be for someone else whose team doesn't quite believe in or someone who hasn't emerged yet. It would be risky, very risky.

Our only real option is hoping Exum comes back strong, we draft another good player, and Lyles, Hood, and Gobert take a leap next year. We need to take a look at all the bench guys and see we can improve. We like Booker and Ingles for the most part, but maybe we have to upgrade.

Seriously, coming out and playing as many minutes in the condition was the opposite of soft.

I worry about Favors intensity. His softness is not from last night. This has been his whole career. When he plays
hard, he is very hard to stop. The problem is I think he needs to play mean, or angry to really be the player we
need him to. His talent is undeniable. Favors softness comes from his playing style. If we go into the playoffs
we'd need Favors to be beast mode to make a run. Does he have it in him?

I think if DL believed someone in the draft not named Simmons or Engram could be a star, Hayward and our pick would be enough to get it done.

Locke said that G-time and Lebron were top 2 in the NBA in the clutch this year.

We only see the Sportscenter highlights of all your supposed stars makes. Not misses. They never show Jazz miss or makes.

He is about the #25 or so best player in the NBA so yes, he is a #1 option.

For all the crap he takes I can't wait for him to leave after next year and go see what you got and can't get.

Gobert - Injury prone, no strength
Favors - very injury prone
Exzum - imjury prone.

Hayward is also an IronMan. Missed 2 games this year playing thru major foot pain last few months....

I wonder what Trey Burke did that was so bad that even when the season was on the line (and the Jazz couldn't make a shot) he still sat there.

I bet Benji and his wife were having a great time on twitter last night.

I keep hearing the biggest issue pertained to his defensive weaknesses.

That was one of the worst games I have seen the Jazz ever play. They were frightened, confused, disorganized. Not at all a good sign. Sure they are young but not that young. It will be interesting to see what our brain trust thinks. I strongly suspect we get some kind of veteran leadership for next year, even if just a backup.

I guess Q has no design on shortening the rotations. 9 players by the 4-minute mark (or thereabouts) of the 1st quarter. Not sure I like that pattern when we can't find a rhythm. More subbing helps find a rhythm?
Good post

Deron Williams is average-good vs every other NBA team. Vs the Jazz he plays at an All-Star level, maybe we shouldn't boo him and see if he goes back to being human.
Fwiw I didn't boo him at all. Even in the intros.
