What's new

Hand, foot and mouth...

^
Thought you guys would say, "Ha! Like all six of my kids have had it. Get used to it!"

At the ER. Daughter has had just 5 oz milk, no water and one tiny bite of a pancake (5 calories?) in the last 22 hours.

Cocksacky blows.

Ugh!
None of my kids have ever had it (knocking on wood) ;)

It sounds awful though, hope your child is feeling better soon!

What is "it" that y'all are talking about the little ones having?

It's a a very common thing among kids where they get blisters/sores in their mouth, on the hands and feet. The sores in the mouth can make it painful to swallow or eat. It's also very contagious.

No cure, fish. Only time. She has it a lot in her mouth (roof, tongue, gums) and around her crotch/butt. May be staying overnight again tonight unless she starts consuming more on her own.

My cousin's children just had this and her two year old kept trying to stick her fingers down her own throat trying to get the sores out.

That sucks, I feel for you brother. 2 of my kids got it. For one it was fairly mild, for the other it was like everywhere. Spent 3 nights in the hospital as he couldn't eat or drink.
