What's new

Harpring to join Jazz broadcast team.

I wish he was taking the place of Bolerhack. Then, I wouldn't have to mute the games.

They say Boone might do some color for the radio.

I think Boone would be GREAT for radio. Better than Harpring. Harpring is better for TV.

Either way, good news for Jazz fans.

This isn't a full time role, meaning it very well may be the exact same amount of games he color'd last year. Ron Boone will still be there, and Boone is awesome.

The summer just keeps getting worse and worse. It's only a matter of time before Boone is off of TV. Harpring is a huge homer and redundant. Boone knows the game a lot more than people here give him credit for.

Oh but Harpring knows the actual names of the plays so you all think he's a genius.

Morons.

Harping has good insight, but he needs to know when to talk and when not to talk, and that every single thing that happens on the court doesn't need his analysis. That will come with experience, but hopefully Boone will stay on for a couple more seasons.
Boler ain't no Hot Rod, but I've gradually come to enjoy listening to his call over the years.

Jazzgal must be the happiest woman on the planet right now.

I'm gonna miss Boone, though. He was a great guy with a lot of knowledge of the game - just had trouble finding his words at times.

I am disappointed to hear this. I like Booner, I did not care for Harpring at all when he broadcast last year. Maybe I will not get League Pass this year. :(

I liked to listen to Harp, much more than Booner, who I'm surprised to hear some people support, I've liked him less and less every year since Hot Rod left TV. He didn't have to say as much when he was teamed with Hot Rod, which is a good thing.

Booner seems like a great guy, but in my opinion listening to him has been pretty painful the past few years. On the other hand, listening to Locke do play-by-play is equally painful, so maybe Booner will be a good addition there. In short, I support this move.

Now, if they would only do something about Thurl and Pace...

Harp's only doing 61 games, and Boone is leaving. Does that mean for 21 games it's ONLY Bolerjack? I don't mind Boler, but that's a lot of pressure.
