Harris, Favors, Kanter will never do that.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Deron Williams' eyes grew a little wider when he realized the Charlotte Bobcats had opted not to double-team him off pick and rolls.

It's something he hadn't seen all season.

"I'm used to getting double-teamed on those," Williams said. "It's kind of refreshing not to be."

Williams took full advantage, scoring a franchise-record 57 points to lift the New Jersey Nets to a 104-101 victory over the Bobcats on Sunday night. That's the most points scored in the NBA this season and breaks the team record of 52 points shared by Mike Newlin and Ray Williams.

It was the second-most points scored against the Bobcats, one shy of Kobe Bryant's 58 in 2006.

Williams, who came into the game averaging 21.7 points per game, shot 16 of 29 from the field and was a perfect 21 for 21 from the free-throw line. He did miss one free throw, but the Bobcats were called for a lane violation and it didn't count.

I totally agree with the trade but none of those guys could pull that off.

Question is will the player used with the GS pick have that ability?

Does one player need to accomplish the same as Deron did in one game in order for it to be considered a good trade? So many things ..

Would we have kept Deron? Not a chance.
Did we get good trade value. Holy **** yes.

I think that there was a chance Deron would have resigned with us. Watch him resign with the Nets without Dwight. He'll show he is loyal

It's not about the accomplish but the ability. It would be very hard for those players to do that.

No doubt a great feat for him. He was efficient in getting his points yet they still almost lost to the worst team in the league. No Ida what my point is other than maybe as efficient as he was he still made his team worse?

Im seriously really good looking. I have a mirror in every room on every wall. It's like a natural high just to look at myself.

You think that this seals the deal for Howard wanting to play with him?

at the beginning of the year Howard had to be thinking that Deron wasn't playing so good, and maybe wondering if he was what he wanted.

Maybe combined, with the GS player, they will (score 57) on a more regular basis (Favors and Kanter)?

Request for the mods: please merge this with the BluesTroll thread and move to General NBA.

Really? More crying for the MODS. Its sounds like you are crying for your MOM. Let me guess.. in school you always cried out for you teacher too when you couldn't handle your business.

Let's just change MODS to MOM. It's the same thing.

If only I had a nickle for everytime someone cried Mods on me.

And my thread is completely different than this one. In mine I pour out my love for him.

If I was glasseater, I'd do your mom .. no matter how damn ugly, just to teach you a lesson about bringing moms into things where they didn't ask to be invited.

The thread title should be: Harris + Favors + Kanter, + GS pick will never do that.
They traded 4 assets for Williams. Remember that. 1 guy for 4 assets!

And I can easily argue that Harris + Favors+ Kanter will get 57 points in a game someday.
Kanter can already outrebound Deron's total from today.
Harris can already out assist Deron's assists total from today.

What Deron can't do is emphatically block a layup like Favors, box out a 255lb center like Kanter, or use his length and size to bother opponents on the defensive end of the floor.

Also, you guys do realize that it took Deron Williams 57 points for the Nets to beat Charlotte. Charlotte!!!

And.......they will man
