He was drafted 33rd overall. He isn't a bust.

I'm a Hassan fan KOC always is complaining that he can't get enough size. Well, Hassan is long and tall.

The Kings waived Hassan Whiteside. I'd invite him to camp or pick him up. He's got real length and decent athleticism, and he could play some center next to Favors for spot minutes. He's bulked up some since college. I just don't think that Kings team knows how to utilize talent. Whiteside has looked pretty good during summer leagues.

Yet another reason summer league performance is overvalued. Whiteside is a stiff. He was one of these big guys coming out of college who everyone suspected was a stiff, but since "you can't coach height" (an over used and dumb cliche), somebody inevitably drafted him higher than he deserved.

I can't think of any reason to sign him, unless one of our other bigs gets hurt, even then, we can do better than this guy.

He is a 7' project, which is not bad to have at the end of your bench. He makes the NBA minimum. It would be worth the risk.
