What's new

Hayward and Favors returning to Team USA minicamp

I wouldn't question Favors' motor. It may seem to people like he doesn't have the highest motor, but to me it seems like that's just his introverted personality (from what I've seen, which is really only games and interviews obviously). Remember that he did go to the coaches with specific things he wanted help with. It seems to me like he is always looking to improve and is willing to ask for help. Though the coaches should have been helping him with those things anyways. Corbin is worthless.

Hibbert seems to be introverted. Duncan also similarly. So it is possible to be introverted & at the same time be a "fighter" when the goings get tough.

I love this, I know Favors wants to be the best he can be but i question his motor. But i hope he goes into this upcoming mini-camp as a learning experience.
I like this a lot more than having them go to P3. These guys need basketball experience. They need court time to develop their shooting and defense, not simply more work designed to improve their jumping ability by an 1/8 of an inch.

True. They need to get the playing time somewhere cause they ain't getting it while playing for the Jazz.

I don't question his motor at all. I question his confidence. This is where going to a big name college is better than a small college. You know you can play against NBA talent.

This will help his confidence a lot...unless he sucks. Ha ha.

I think Favors showed a lot of fire in the last month of the season. I'll bet we see a completely different Derrick - and Enes - next year. The training wheels come off and they don't have to worry about being benched behind Jefferson and Millsap.
