Hayward questionable for Monday

Maybe Hayward being out will force some other people to step up. It might do Hood some good being more of a focal point of the offense for a game or two and rediscover his playmaking ability and not just hunting for shots.

Rather have him healthy for the playoffs. Hopefully, a break here gets him the rest he needs to be healthy and fresh for the playoffs.

Hayward and Favors back - healthy and strong gives the Jazz a fighting chance.

Sometimes I wonder what kind of looks Quin gives the Jazz Trainer. It seems like there are so many injuries, and so many games missed. Even if every injury and every game missed is/was legit it could still stress the working relationship. Imagine for example, the look the trainer gets when he tells Quinn, "Favors is out again and Rodney doesn't feel well"

If it's not an injury that can lead to bigger issues then we need him to suit up. These games are important.

Any injury can lead to bigger issues. When you're not 100% your body works to adapt and excel in other ways, increasing stress on other parts of the body. The load carried by Favors's knee, for example, was being redistributed to his hip, causing him to miss a number of games early in the year due to hip problems. The work Gordon's leg does will be redistributed, which increases the burden and therefore the stress on other body parts.

I'm not suggesting this means people shouldn't ever play through injuries. Heck, playing the game at all, fully healthy or not, risks injury. It depends on the injury, and a lot of other factors. I hope Hayward plays through it, but I'm tying not to get too worked up in the event he sits a game or so.

Agreed. I think it also may empower them, thus making everyone realize just how important each individual is to the collective success of the team.

After Gobert's comments, I am very confident we win tonight, with or without Hayward. Just threw us at -280 ML as second part of my five team parlay. 150 to win 5,232. Had Oregon ML at +280 to start it. I wanna throw Cavs ML (to drive winnings up to 6,000) or +5 as part three so badly but I'm just gonna do them separately.

Damn, that is ballsy. I wouldn't be surprised if we get blown out without Hayward.
