Hayward to Boston

this does make me wonder that for the Jazz or a franchise like them, if you have a player who is going to reach UFA, you just simply have to trade him the season before it happens. i wonder if you don't have a choice - that the guy leaving and you getting nothing for him is a risk you can't afford to take. unless you're damn sure he's coming back - which was never the case with Hayward and Utah. i don't know.

Utah v Celtics in SL on Thursday. I hope he arena is packed and the fans throw all their Hayward merchandise into the court.

Why? This is on DL and the Millers. They should have traded for Paul George.

Favors and Hood is better than Oladipo and Sabonis.

You want to punish someone? No one show up to games anymore.

Can the Jazz pull a sign-and-trade with Gordon and Celtics?
But I guess that much salary coming in will cripple Jazz.
And I can't think of anybody I want from Celtics.

Some of us knew he was leaving but this was clearly just a dick move. You can tell that article was being worked on for more than a day.

Yeah. He left. This actually happens in sports all the time. He's not a bad person. He's not a traitor. He's just a basketball player.

Time to move on. Jazz still have a franchise player. . . and guess what? It's not Gordon Hayward. Rudy Gobert is going to be on a mission from this moment to make this team his. I'm hella excited about guys that WANT to be in Utah like Gobert and Rubio and Mitchell and Joe Jesus and Jingles and Hood. Plus, there's no way that DL sits pat and does nothing.

This team will still be Quin's masterpiece. He's not going to throw in the towel. He's going to push his guys to get better, play harder, be meaner. I'm glad that he's going to be the leader moving forward.
This.
Not even sweating next season. Can't ****ing wait!

What ticks me most about Hayward is the Jazz did what he asked to make him stay, which they did (re-signing Ingles and getting Rubio) even already knowing he was going to leave. That was bad form on his part. smh

Really, He got his little feelings hurt after a down year and that is the reason why he is leaving. If his wife wanted to move we could have had him under contract for another year but then he leaves. Hayward should have just been up front about it if he wanted to leave, maybe the Jazz could have traded him for something.

Gordon has the right to chose his life but he better produce in Boston or he will regret this decision. Boston media will eat him alive. Worse thing about it is I live in NH and I am going to have see his face and hear all the talk about Gordon.

Ten bucks Ainge doesn't show his face at summer league tomorrow.

The pitchfork mobs will be waiting for him if he does.

I think so. DL kind of backed himself into a corner by waiting until the last year to go all in, but for all we know, he planned on doing it the year before, and just couldn't find the right opportunity.

Okc losing Durant for nothing, and now going all in in a year when they could lose Westbrook for nothing looks really iffy to me. They could find themselves at the beginning of a 10 year rebuild.

Please. If Hayward had re-signed the Jazz would have had the best off-season in the NBA. Even signing Hayward and getting the 3rd pick the Celtics didn't have the best off-season imho.

You are correct on Boston media.

I was there on a biz trip years ago after Pats got railed by KC on Sunday or Monday nite. Next day talk radio wanted Brady and Belicheck out of town (2 more super bowls since that day). They are nasty.

I will say this , I didn't think Hayward had the nuts to go to that tough market.

He looks like a kid but his RFA year he bet on himself and got a Max offer from Charlotte (NEVER did I think he would get a Max)

This year I thought he would play it safe and stay here, but he didn't.

I wish him luck but I am getting sick of the Rudy love. Let's see what Rudy does as an UFA. If he stays then he can speak.

Right now Rudy looks like an *** because he did not control his destiny.

Fans are like "Hayward should have told us he was leaving". Owners vs. players I always root for players. You think owners give a flip about many players ? They are pawns. Hayward is lucky to be in the top 5% that are treated not like pawns.....

He busted his *** and helped us get to 2nd round of playoffs.

He made a family decision to move on .... let's not make this more than it is

yep super annoying and if everything we heard is in fact true (wanting Rubio, wanting Ingles, training with OUR staff this offseason) it's a dick move. If we had managed to lock down Hill and this **** was pulled......

Difference is another year with Rudy to see how good they were, more data.
Also that extra year he would see that he has too much competition in the west, doesn't make the all star team, doesn't make all nba, and then leaves next summer cause he is a bitch.

Rudy playing a song on his instagram "these hoes aint loyal" lolol
One of my favorite songs of all time by the way. That song is fire.
