What's new

Here comes the DWill Presser

I'm getting the feeling from some of DWill's comments that he's not exactly happy about being a Net. "gut feeling".

How many "great PG" won championships in the last 20 years? I know a lot of great SGs that won. Tony Parker and Chauncey Billups are probably the best. I'm being serious. Rondo is good, very good.

I think we're moving in a better direction.

Deron was very classy through this whole think. We know this is not what he wanted but is taking it in stride and not bashing the Jazz. I am going to miss watching him play. But well root for him anytime he is on the floor except when playing Utah.

This. We need an elite wing who's athletic, can create and get to the line at will, all the while staying in the flow of the offense. Shooting? Sure. But Dwill, Jordan and other great wings don't have great three point percentages by any means. In fact, they're poor. Obviously we don't want someone who seems uncomfortable shooting but you get the point.

Devin Harris kind of got thrown under the bus by his old coach. No **** Deron is better but is he just completely out of Devin's league? I don't think so.

I will miss watch Deron night in and night out!

However, I am pumped to see what Harris can do in this system! I think he can be an all-star again.

I'm going to miss Deron very much.

But things change, I'm looking forward to watching our new team grow.

If I was Harris I would be pissed. He has never had anywhere near the talent around him that Dwill has. While I don't think he is as good at Deron at some stuff he isn't the talentless loser the media is trying to make him out to be. We got a VERY good point guard and a Very good prospect as well as 2 very good draft picks in this trade. Harris has smoked Deron multiple times over the last few years.

Well then, he will have a chip on his shoulder coming in. That could go either way...

Huge brown nosing by Avery.

He has to, look what Deron did to Jerry. But don't worry their love affair will end at the first pick and roll that Deron tries to cheat on rather than take his man to the screen.

When Jerry left I said Deron was heading for an epic meltdown and Jerry was the only person capable of stopping him. I was wrong, Avery could help Deron, and take his game to another level IF Deron would listen to him.

Rondo wasn't "great" when they won the championship. He still had some huge holes in his game. Derek Fisher is by no means a great PG. Parker is very good, but he's no Nash, Paul or Williams. Take a very good PG, give him a couple of great players, you have a shot at a championship. Take a great PG, play him next to a few good players, you generally come up short.

If the trade gives Deron a chip on his shoulder, NJ has a remote chance at the playoffs. Not likely, though. Indiana and Philadelphia have been playing decent ball (both 7-3 in their last 10). So let's assume the WORST of those teams finishes at Indiana's current .464 percentage. That's 38 wins. New Jersey would have to go 21-4 to to win 38 games. I don't see that happening.
