What's new

Hibbert makes history.

Anyone who hates on Hibbert and says he sucks is an absolute idiot. Dude is a great player and one of the best defensive big men in the league. He is flawed yes, but he is still very good.

There are also idiots like Dalamon who think he is the best player on the team, which isn't the case at all. He is very important to their success, and they can't win when he sucks, but Paul George is still the best player, hands down.

All true.

God i hate watching him run though

Good game here and there? The Pacers are 4-1 in their last five games, and in those wins Hibbert is getting 18, 8 and 3.

I couldn't give a rats's *** about Hibbert, but when people say stupid things, they should be called out.

dude is averaging 8.7 / 4.5 reb this post season. ooop d friggin doo. he played 11 post season games, and overall it's a mediocre at best. and yes 'good game here and there' has been his career in the NBA.

his post season so far

8pts/8reb
6/4
4/2
6/3
0/0
0/2
13/7
0/0
28/9
14/5
17/9

am i supposed to fap over that? bottom line, you will never know what you are going to get from him. next game he might go off and give you 20/10. or he will do nothing and give you 6/4.

i think he will probably do better because wizards are done and he does great job against the Heat. but stop acting like dude is a legit all star. because he ain't.

just look at his career numbers. dude is a decent pro, but he ain't all that. he is benefiting from playing in a centerless era.

there are about 8-10 great NBA players today. and hibbert ain't one of them.
there is no greatness in hibbert's game. absolutely none.

Actually it's a pretty solid excuse.

well like i posted i don't even believe he is 7ft 2. and this league had plenty of big men who can move. he ain't one of them. he moves like 7ft 5 dudes. i wonder who would win a foot race between shawn bradley, gherghe muresan, manute bol, and roy hibbert.

oh by the way

draftexpress has mutombo at 7ft 1 1/4. i have no idea how tall yao is, but he sure is tall. was measured at 7ft 5, but later rockets claim he is measured again at 7ft 6.

one thing for sure is yao would dwarf hibbert. prime yao would make a mockery of hibbert. too bad his career was cut short.

draftexpress. and they go by predraft measurements. and it's my retarded hobby, so i try to look at every possible measurement out there.

1. if you get measured in the morning, you might be 1/2 inch taller compared to getting measured at night. in extreme cases it can be as much as 1 inch.
2. and some dudes have a bad posture even at young age. i have a friend who looks shorter than me. i always think i'm taller. but when he fully stretches he is almost 1/2 inch taller than me. many overweight dudes are like this.
3. and some dudes like kevin love may have napoleon complex, and always try to look taller may even wear a lift.
4. you can sorta cheat your height testing too. for these big guys cheating 1/4 -1/2 inch is piece of cake. stick your chest out, point up, and lift your foot slightly without getting noticed.

maybe hibbert is 'only' gobert's height. gobert is 7ft 1/2, but listed at 7ft 2. and gobert looks like a giant on the court.

Just reading through some old threads I missed and saw this. Many things can affect height, for me it was surgery. When I got home from my mission I stood barefoot next to the doorframe where my mom had measured my growth until I was too tall for her to comfortably mark it (she is very short, like 5'3" or something), and I marked my height at that point. With a tape measure I measured the mark at 6' 2 1/2. After I was done with my cancer treatments and 2 surgeries on my upper back and neck including a 4 vertebra fusion, just for fun we made a new mark at the same doorway. I then measured, again without shoes and at the time about 15 years older, at just about 6' 1/2. Lately my youngest son (17 years old) sprouted well ahead of me and my other son, so we did some measurements. Without shoes he is 6' 3 1/4, and I am just about 1/8" under 6'. Funny how it can and does change for various reasons.

damn, you went through a lot.

i once had a herniated disc. my posture was bad, and i lost 1/2 inch for about a year. now i only lost 1/4 inch. there are many famous people who lost height - hulk hogan for example. he is an extreme case where he lost at least 2+ inches of his height over the years.

but generally these prospects are young with no major medical issues. usually their height doesn't change in the course of their career. some actually grow taller. only known cases is probably david robinson. many say melo grew. bron too. i don't really buy it, but it can happen.

maybe he will drop 20/10 in game 5. lol

but gotta admit, the game plan was awful. you gotta try to feed him the ball. at least give him 10 shot attempts. and go to him early and often. pacers are good when hibbert looks like a legit all star.

But dude literally has no post game. One would figure Bosh would not be able to defend 7'2 centre who is much heavier than him in the post. But Hibbert just does not have it. Heck Valanciunas was giving Heat more fits than Hibbert...

The Pacers are a poorly constructed and coached team.

Zero outside shooters, zero PG play, Hibbert is a teddy bear... They have two nice pieces in West and George. But the rest of that team is either garbage or backup material. Lance Stephenson is basically Kirk Snyder. Hibbert is ostertag.

But Snyder was never able to get triple doubles..... I think Lance is a bit better passer;)

You're right.

Lance is a better player. But like Snyder, he's insane. He hurts his team as much as helps it.

I think you'd have to be insane to want to piss off lebron. Dude is an animal.

hibbert going home and count his max money. lol. hibbert will go down as the first max cat who had 4 0/0 games in the playoffs.

what's harder having 4 0/0 games or 4 20/20 games?
