I still get a little weepy every time I hear Hot Rod's voice, RIP.

Also RIP Jerry Sloan, man I went from weepy, to laughing out loud, to getting weepy again. Way to get me started on this Saturday morning.

Probably payback. This was in 1991 when Rodman was still semi-normal. Would be funny to hear Stockton's Rodman stories. When Jordan made the shot I was 10th row by the free throw line and Rodman came over and took off his shirt and flexed at the fans and a guy below me in about the third row pitched his big gulp into Rodman's chest and it exploded into his face. Rodman got mad for a fraction of a second then went wild in ecstacy. I was from Detroit and watched Rodman from his rookie year, weird how he went from seemingly normal to massive kook.

Back in those days Sloan was willing to throw down. The one coach you didn’t mess with. Once he almost killed a ref and got a 7 game suspension. Phil Johnson saved him from a lot of suspensions. Lol

I went to a Pistons game with my parents when they were discussing Rodman. My dad always liked him. I can’t remember if it was with the Detroit or when he got traded to San Antonio but my dad called in and got on KFAN and told Nissalke that we needed to get someone like Rodman, to which Nissalke was flabbergasted. Thinking about it now, that was that generation’s JazzFanz.
