I read this and it almost made me poop my pants. From NBA.com:

“Tom Thibodeau has an incredible plan in place,” Boozer told ESPN 1000. “It’s built around defense and that’s going to be our staple. We have some great talent. If we work together, be unselfish, and work our butts off, we can be really good.”

I hate to break it to Thibodeau and Chicago, but if Defense is what their "staple" is going to be, they just made an 80 million mistake.
 
Well, Boozer is already exhibiting his skillz for Bulls fans to see, eh? He's ALWAYS been able to "talk" defense with the best of them, I tellya!

Boozer is a cheerleader on defense.
 
Boozer is a clown talking about lakers....Reason we were never able to compete against la was boozer sucked..Wow is all i can say from boozer..How stupid can one be?
 
Boozer doesn't have to do defense, he's got plenty of others to help him with that. He's going there to be their Offensive power forward. With the right people around him, booz can def be part of a championship team...

D-Will is better than D-Rose, As of right now Chicago doesn't have anybody to play the 2, Luol Deng is ok, but is he head and shoulders above AK? I don't think so, and Noah (listed at 6'11" but I think he's closer to 6'10") is an undersized Center that would be abused come playoff time by the likes of Dwight Howard or any of the 7 footers on the Lakers should they make it that far.

I don't blame Carlos for taking the contract and going to Chicago, but I seriously don't think he upgraded his title-contender status, escpecially if Lebron commits to the Heat within the next 2 hours like we think he will.

As of right now, even with Boozer I see Chicago being below: Orlando, Boston and Miami (assuming they land all of the Big 3).

"Boozer does not have to do defense". You are joking, right? Unfortunately, things do not work like that in this kind of team sports. There is no magic number like "4, if I have 4 players who put effort and play defense, it's OK to have another one who just does not know or care".

Nobody can guarantee that Dwight Howard makes Carlos accountable or look good on defense. If you do not care about defense, neither will your teammates. It would be disrespectful. Kendrick Perkins is a better player when he plays among KG but KG is the reason why he looks more confident and BETTER on defense. KG is not the reason why Perk plays defense, puts effort and tries. You cannot tell your teammates "Ok, guys. Let's share it. I will score and you will defend". That's not sharing of responsibilites, which is essential in team sports. This is "playing for stats". Just what can be said for Booz.
 
Well, i do think having Noah behind him will help, as he's a better defensive center than what we've put out there. Do they still have Tyrus Thomas? He's a pretty good shotblocker but if memory serves he was traded..

Booz will be a better defender in Chicago. Having Memo behind him, or playing with Sap was about as weak as the combo gets. Memo is a worse defender than Booz. Noah instantly improves was Booz can do on defense. If he stays injury free, Chicago is a very good fit for Carlos.

Noah doesn't improve Boozer as a defender one bit. If anything his defense will deteriorate with age. Noah will just do a better job in covering for Boozer's flaws because he's a shot blocker.
 
Bulls will be one and done in the playoffs. Everyone anointing Derrick Rose the greatest point guard since sliced bread is a joke to me. Prove something substantial first. His stroke's still suspect. He hasn't won a playoff series yet. I haven't seen him be some great floor leader and facilitator yet. Sorry but there can only be so many great point guards in the league at once. Paul, Deron, Nash, they're great. Rose, Jennings, Wall, etc? Show me something more than solid stats and athleticism.
 
To add insult to amusement, a.m. sports radio is reporting that Kyle Korver is in talks with Chicago, only adding to the irony of CB's claim that defense will be a focus. However, Noah will help to compensate for Boozer's matador D better than Okur did.

I do concede that even though Sloan was supposedly defense oriented, he didn't enforce it for Boozer, but former Spurs assistant Tom Thibodeau might, especially given that Popovich did.

I'm pretty sure that Sloan tried to shove defense into Boozers big dumb head but, I bet, every time Sloan really tried to "enforce" it...Boozer got a boo-boo.... :( poor Boozer. Thibodobadingdong isn't going to get jack **** out of Boozer if Sloan cant.
