Despite all the officiating mishaps, this game still could've been a win if Exum and Neto didn't team up to give the Heat a double digit amount of fastbreak points in the 3rd quarter.

We played 47 minutes of poor D before that. This game should not have come down to a final shot to win it imo. We let Dragic go off for 27 and do whatever he wanted. Not cool. It sucks that we are missing this many guys but still. Rudy is not an excuse to take it easy, he is a luxury that allows you to be more aggressive.

Dragic scoring 27 is OK. IT's ****ing Ellington and Johnson going off that killed us.

Meant to thank for that, not like. I do not like that at all. Sucks he is playing rough defense this year so far. I think minutes will help with that. He is not trusting himself to cut and stop yet.

to me he looks slower than at the start of the year and really not confident.

I am not worried about this game for that reason. It would have been a great game to pull out but I think games like this might motivate this team, it seems to get Rudy worked up and he plays better when he is passionate.

Losing games like this was the key reason we missed out on the playoffs last year. Not saying it's time to panic, but we have to win games like this. I understand that we are depleted right now but that doesn't change the 50+ points in the paint. We just didn't play very well for most of the game.

Just sucks to lose when we are on fire. Like we lost a game in which Lyles actually hit his 3's and Mack actually played really well offensively. How? I know Hood/Hill are really good, but their absence shouldnt cause our defense to be that bad. Josh McRoberts doesnt even average a made shot per game and he hit 5, one off of his own miss in which Lyles didnt bother to box him out.

Dante's defense wasnt worse than Neto's though. Every bucket felt easy with Neto guarding. Exum's problems where more the TO's than the defense.
 
That sucked... Dante looks awful right now...

Obviously lots of what ifs but the tech on Rudy was complete bs and even though the free throw was missed hurt us. When the guy shooting the two free throws after gets a warm up it helps calibrate the first free throw for the shooting foul.

The clock stuff is classic monkey work by the refs but not sure how much it changes things. Hayward may have shot a different shot... who knows. Heat were on fire.... we are a different team when we have Hill.
