I hope it doesn't come to this, but I can't imagine it won't.

National polls show Clinton will easily defeat Trump.

I can only hope that doesn't change.

Thoughts?

So tired of the lesser of two evils.

Will the RNC really endorse Trump as their champion?

If this is the race, has there ever, in all of American history, been a clearer sign of decline? Or is it all clear enough already, regardless of who gets to be named by the two parties?

This country has many, many citizens who would make better presidents than the two we are going to get to choose from, but unfortunately none of them are stupid enough to run. It is amazing how much the process and political climate has changed (almost entirely for the worse) during my lifetime. Our only hope is that the winner of this election behaves far differently as president than their track record to this point would indicate.

I will definitely be doing this^

I voted for Jill Stein in 2012, mostly because my state wasn't particularly close so my vote wasn't going to matter. The only satisfaction I got from the vote was holding it over my wife for 4 years that I voted for a woman for president before she did.

I'm concerned that Trump would beat Hillary in a general election.

This.
No way would I ever even want to be president. That job sucks. No matter what you do half the people in this country are going to hate you, make fun of you and criticize you. Tons of stress.
If you are a really smart and ambitious person you can find a different job that is less stressful, pays more, and allows you to do more actual good things.

At least Bernie ran and gave us all some cute, retro Keynesian mythologies to think about.

Can't believe I am going to say this, but rather Trump over Hilary. Rubio was the last hope for the GOP. Dems having a bad crop, although though to replace someone like Obama, tbh. Whatever you want to say about his politics.

I voted for her as well. I wanted to do my part in letting the country know that there is more than two viewpoints. My very very small part.

I'm not sure why people obsess over who the President is. He's not a dictator. While he's obviously extremely important, it is Congress and lobbyists probably moreso who have ****ed this country up. The whole process needs to change.

While the President doesn't have ultimate power, the tone is set for the next four years. This election has me concerned for the country because of what it appears people want in their president and what that means for our future.

If it weren't that these are the possible nominees for the President of the United States, it would be great.
I'd much rather watch these two morans slug it out than tune into the Bachelor.

The Republican National Convention will be without a doubt the must-see TV event of the decade. I literally could see riots breaking out.

Horrible night for Rubio. Cruz and Sanders did enough to justify staying in this as dark horses but Trump and Clinton are clearly the front runners.

Also, while congress and whatnot has allot of influence on policies and laws, the president is the one that meets with the leaders of other countries.

I can only imagine trump meeting with other countries leaders and insulting them like crazy.
