Hire Krisco?

The Thriller

I'm tired of the Jazz putting forth zero effort and underachieving. Should the Jazz consider Krisco to light a fire under the Jazz's butt? What he's done in just a few years at the U is nothing short of impressive.

The Jazz needs Crisco.

I posted this same thing a few months ago and got absolutely torched by everyone.

I think Larry K is one of the best coaches in the NCAA. I don't think everyone understands how bad the Utes were a few years ago. Now they've got Pac 12-caliber talent and are a legitimate threat to win the conference/make a nice NCAA run next season.

He's a Utah/Idaho/Montana-area guy, he's got NBA head coaching experience, he's done a great job at a high-major school right smack in Salt Lake City...and the guy can flat out coach. Not saying he would get the job or that he's the best possible candidate, but his name will surface if/when Ty is fired and I personally would be happy with the hire.

Would it surprise anyone if Coach K is making more coaching the Utes that the Jazz new coach?

If we're going to pimp college coaches I'll throw my man Tad Boyle from Colorado in the mix. But I'd much rather him stay there.

He's done worse than Corbin during that experience. Significantly so.

If we're considering college coaches, Calipari might be available. Kentucky ran Tubby Smith out of town after he had a few disappointing seasons. Calipari might be feeling the heat after the NIT loss last season to Robert Morris and an underwhelming year to date. A loss to KState and first round exit would certainly cause some grumbling amongst the rabid boosters.

The NBA plays road games, so I'm not sure that Larry K. will work out here.

Also, "The Utes will compete for the PAC 12 title!" Heh.

Calipari isn't a good enough coach to be in the NBA.

And he won't be feeling any heat from Kentucky fans for at least a year or two.

I like him. The Utes are well coached and from when I've watched them..... he seems to be able to coach on the fly during games as well and make good quick adjustments, which puts him above about 80% of coaches alone.
