That's a good bet... in all likelihood the Lakers will win the ship again this year.

But having so much invested in the results of a team-- every loss (especially playoffs) has an impact on your life. I don't think the stress is worth it.

He, if it's even real, bet that on one game, not the season. Regardless, you never bet money lines. Spreads and over/unders are much better risk/reward balances. If you stuck to those, always bet the same amount, and actually knew a little about sports, I think the odds are in your favor to make some cash during a season. But obviously you can't blow $10,000 if you are making $40,000/yr or something because that eats you up.
