Homelessness in Utah and Draper City...

^^^^^ And why would they go there anyway? You guys realize homeless people are just as picky as normal folk looking for a hotel or something right? They want close access to public transportion, they want access to the most people possible with the most cash to give out. If that means sleeping on the streets in downtown over taking shelter way out of the way.....it's a no brainer.

That's the reason the Draper Mayor proposed those locations. He knew that they weren't feasible. He knew they wouldn't get selected. There is a reason he didn't put forth a more workable location and that no other Mayor did either.

SLC, WVC, and SSL need to push for an audit compiling where these types of facilities are located and their impact. We should identify communities that are not pulling their weight as well as those that are most burdened. This should be a top criteria when considering new locations for facilities like this.
