This probably sounds crazy and I feel like a dick for sayin it but we may be better off if we...

Trade: Hayward/Favors/Burks

Rebuild with Hood/Exum/Gobert, Assets received, and tanked picks in 2016/2017

You're right, we should actually just break it up and start from scratch completely. Trade away Neto, Burks, and cash for a second rounder. Trade away Snyder and pick up Gobertson. Then maybe we can get excited about the draft again, like we really want.

No way in hell do you trade Hayward. He is our most complete player and do anything on the court and really fit alongside any player.

I love Hood more than anyone, but he isn't near the playmaker for others Hayward can be. If the idea is to trade Burks and Favors to free up the court for more spacing to get a 4 with range, that is a idea worth considering. I really think you have to give the combo of Favors/Gobert at least a year though. Burks has to learn how to take a 3 point jumpshot and Favors needs to get back to knocking down his midrange shots.

1) I think we are in srs risk of losing Hayward soon and then having to blow it up anyway. He can only be expected to be so patient.

2) Watching Durant I remembered how much I miss having a legit All star(not borderline) on our team

3) I'm drunk so, I'm just gunna throw that out.

Maybe trade favors. But not Hayward. I love favors though, so we should just lock him in the gym for a few months with the shot doctor and make him the best stretch four in the league. We would probably be a top ten offense if he was a stretch four, to go along with a top 3 defense. That wins championships.

Yeah, but if Gobert is legit, then we have our All-Star.

Also, Hayward has been operating in a space deficient offense for some time now. If he ever bounced to a team like Boston, he would look like an even more legit All-Star.

I still have faith in the Gobert/Favors combo and that defensive heavy style, but the main problem is not having the 3pt shooting to go along with that. Burke and Burks really need to step up their ability to rain down some 3's.

Like I said though, this is a legit concern and something that should be monitored throughout the season. Luckily, I expect Favors or Gobert to retain a high amount of trade value throughout their contracts, so if it become necessary to abort the current mission, it can be done.

Remember when Gobert trained with Dirk's shooting coach for a week this off-season? Yeah, I barely remember either because he still can't shoot FT's or take a 10 footer.

Good post except I think Hayward is tradeable too for the right player

I love all 3 of those dudes but they would bring in a lot. We would have a good set of support guys left over. Maybe a couple of early lotto's buys us a superstar plus the bounty we get from those 3. It's easy to say player x is untouchable but maybe we should think about what we could actually get.

You just can't give up Hayward, he is too important to the team. You would have to be getting back a top playmaker, which would be very hard to find in a trade.

If trading some, lets say Favors and Burks, brought in an all star player that fit the team is do it.

I don't see it as giving up on Hayward.

I'm looking at where the Jazz are at. Where the Western Conference is at. And where our player contracts are at.

Not giving up on, giving up (or trading away). He is just to important to the team and is essentially irreplaceable for anything in we could realistically get.

Yes let's trade our best players so we can become the next Philadelphia.

Not the same thing

We would be going into it with

Exum
Hood
Lyles
Gobert

+ more young talent bought in through trades and oodles of picks

That gives us 6 years to build a contender. We find a star in the 2017 draft and OMG.
