So here's a Breitbart piece Trump supporters/fans in Hong Kong with their epic Rocky Balboa posters. Of course, some feel this is just deplorable.
What, with George Soros sounding the alarm that Cnina constitutes a mortal threat to the world, presumably because he's got no ground game to destabilize that government and create rioting mobs and political ferment capable of insinuating his own influence....who knows.... Is George Soros funding the pro-democracy protests in Hong Kong.
Honestly, who could really know unless you are there and perceptive to and have access to the information there.
I had to consider the same possibility with the protests in the Philippines with Corazon Aquino's "Yellow" Revolution. I couldn't positively dismiss it. Marcos was a maverick gone amok, after being installed by the operatives of David Rockefeller. Ninoy Aquino was a house guest in Massachussetts of Ted Kennedy.
My brother who is married to a nice, very talented Chinese lady, has a house divided on the Hong Kong protests. She says they just have to stop the protest. Bro says Xi's people are "disappearing" outspoken dissidents all over China. What Xi wants is an abrogation of the Treaty with Britain wherein Hong Kong was supposed to be politically independent and retain British judicial establishment and legislative governance, though nominally Chinese "protectorate" territory, or something like that.
Wealthy Hong Kong folks have been busily buying Chinese Restaurants in the US for decades.... since the 70s. It gives them a path to US citizenship. After they've met the requirements of the law, they sell their restaurant to someone waiting anxiously in line for a chance at the same deal.
I bet an unscrupulous person (or gang) with the spare cash could make a billion on a sea-going container ship offering a few square feet of space, and trips to the deck to squat over the rail, and BYOF&W terms. a 20 persons per container, stacked eight high, with surcharge for shaded locations...., for only $20,000, to Van Couver or somesuch, with additional charges for vans to anywhere.
Or even just to the Philippines.
I bet the Philippines could build an island on the South China Sea with the proceeds from such business.
at any rate, Lam is not responding to the public in a positive way, and it looks like we should all be carrying Free Hong Kong T-Shirts underneath our coats when we go to Jazz games....
Trump just uses this kind of publicity to bend Xi a little more for doing the good deal.
