Hood traded to Cleveland for Crowder; Johnson to Sacramento

Translation- here comes Mirotic bitches.
Let’s all hold hands and pray. However, I’m not certain they’ll part with him. Unclear if they’ll bring back Boogie (???) and Mirotic is their third best player possibly, making it easier to transition Boogie back from injury. They’ll be under the cap in total dollars before resigning Boogie and won’t be at the LT. I just see them holding on to him.

On the flip side, should they deal him, they won’t have an expectation that they can get much return for him. They’d probably hold out wanting Crowder, tbpfhwy.

I haven't been able to wade through the whole thread. I thought it was interesting that recently 1280 was talking about players only playing when they were 100% due to pressure from agents to keep stats high. They didn't specifically say hood did this, but hood's frequent missed games brought up the topic. Feels like they were greasing the skids now.

For the record I believe Crowder has a chance to be a better contract value. I also believe it was the best we were going to do and I don't believe we wanted to re-sign him.

I have to say it... I feel a little less sure of this trade this morning. Crowder better snap back soon.

Hood tells the medical staff he can't play (again) because of a contusion, or a scratch, or soreness, and that news spread out from the medical staff to the rest of the personnel. Staff including players whisper how soft he is. Did this happen? You bet it did. Didn't Hood say he felt isolated? I wonder why.

Imma have to step away from the internet today. I feel so meh about the deal and I just looked up and saw what Josh Hart is doing in LA and got salty about the Tony Bradley pick again.

I shouldn't feel so blah about what we have going today... Hopefully DM scores 30-40 pts in our 8th straight win tonight and everything will be forgotten.

Patience dawg. We knew Bradley was going to take awhile. He'll be just fine.

Patience is correct... we will need to wait this year and likely next before Tony gets any regular playing time... because we picked a guy at a position with a surplus of capable bodies.

Meanwhile some of the wing guys are now getting minutes and producing... we got Royce so I shouldn’t be salty but it’d be nice to have Hart or Sterling Brown rn.

If we really do re-sign Favs I’ll laugh a little... we can’t even get Ekpe on the floor... Tony gonna be multi year G league all star.

One of the things that I am learning watching the Sean Miller Wildcats is that kids really aren't learning crap playing in the NCAA. The best thing you can do is get them drafted and get them professional training, hopefully unlearning all the bad stuff that their college coach instilled in them. I can imagine a lot of that goes back to AAU ball too.

I have high hopes for Tony. He's 19 though. Big men take a while.

First prediction... Mirotic was a rental. He will be expendable when Boogie comes back. Burks plus a second for Mirotic in the summer?

Next, DL is a class act. Nuff said.

I’m not sure why they would do that. If they did? Fantastic. We would be set for next year.

Agreed. Everyone knew he would be a 'project'. DL liked him because he has amazing basketball fundamentals and his high basketball I.Q. I like Bradley's footwork and how he runs the floor and seems to know where the ball is going once a shot hits the rim. He definitely has value.

This may arguably be their best chance at landing a star in 2019. Nothing to do with willingness to spend money.

That's a pretty tough argument to make but I can see the FO buying on hope that Crowder can return to Celtics form in QS' offense. Plus his cheap contract. But arguably their best chance at landing a star? Nah, that's far from reasonable.

you're not sure why the franchise in NOLA would do something short-sighted, desperate, or rushed??
- A rush to dump a contract.
- A rush to find a replacement.
- A rush to... land Burks?

the Burks detail is mostly unimportant. The takeaway is that they'll need to cut money hard and fast.... and that there aint no way they're paying Boogie and Mirotic.
