Hoopsworld hates the Jazz

Can any of you explain to me what's so great about favors-Kanter-Hayward-Burke being that bad? These kids aren't rookies any more... Look how Lebron turned out for Cleveland. **** that path.

I have a problem with the rationale as well. If the Jazz are bad enough to get a top 5 pick next year, then our future with the Core 4 isn't as bright as everyone thinks and we will not be competing for a championship anytime soon. Now if Kanter and Hayward suffer a "Boozer" hamstring this year, then maybe that top 5 pick won't be incompatible with a future championship.

Yeah, that is the biggest problem I see with the tank.

People want us to lose, but they also have these over-blown expectations for each of our young players.

Both things can't happen. Either we suck horribly and our young players just aren't that great, or they show some promise and we manage to be a decent lottery team, but with little chance of moving into top 3.

Like I said earlier, best case for Jazzfanz morale is an awful start followed with a strong finish that shows the group's promise.

Corbin could have his best coaching season yet. Too bad that doesn't mean much.

Hmm, Ty parked Burks at the end of the bench for nearly a third of the season; given our poor guard play, I find those DNPs inexplicable. I am not convinced that Corbin's spots have changed.

Best case is jazz barely miss playoffs and then win the lottery

I use to blow a lot of money gambling. It was placing too many bets in the hope of just such a payout that broke me of my gambling habit.

Wendover! Where even mathematicians are idiots.

I say, once again, that the Jazz will finish with around mid 30s in wins. Our bench and the new status as starters prevent anything better. Next year it's playoffs.

Why can't both things happen. Young players can be good but that doesn't mean they're guaranteed to win us games. And the bench is that bad. Not convinced

Once you go through the teams and arrange them, 35 looks unrealistic. Phoenix and Sacramento are the only west teams we are better than right now. Considered the Lakers but Kobe is way ahead of schedule. In the east, only Orlando, Charlotte, and Philly are worse. Considered Washington, but they were a .500 team when John Wall was healthy, big difference maker. If that holds true it would put us at the 6th seed, which was a 28 win team last year. The heavy duty tankers (Philly, Charlotte, Phoenix) might distort everyone's wins a little, so could see 32.

I think the young guys could be good but our bench will be the worst in the nba.

Lucas Rush Marv Evans Biedrins is horrible.

I believe that Charlotte will have a better record for a couple reasons.

I hate Big Al but he will win the Cats a few games just because of his takeover ability.

Second, they play in the East.

Charlotte
76ers
Minny
Sactown
Phoenix
Detroit
Toronto
Washington
Boston
Orlando

All teams that are not good for one reason or another. That is a third of the league. Plus I simply have more faith in our guys. If they are supposed to be our future they should start showing it. They are young, talented, driven, hungry and damn aggressive. I think they surprise people.

Hell you can add Milwaukee and Cleveland to this list. Plus the Jazz will be decent at home. I say 34-48. Then reverse that next year.

Not getting comps.

Nuggets were a super deep team.

Wolves were super underachieving and injury prone.

I was talking this year. I think at worst case, we'll end up ahead of Minnesota. Best case, just ahead of the Nuggets.

That is.. unless Minnesota surprises everyone. Which, if healthy, I feel like they could do.

That has been true of Minny for the past 3 years. I do not see nay reason beyond sheer luck why their team would hold up now. I say history repeates itself and the suffer injuries and suck as a result.
