So both Dirkawitz and Paul Pierce opted out of 20 million dollar contracts this week? With a looming lockout and most owners tightening the purse strings.....I guess it's too much to ask that these two clowns end up with less salary and on worse teams than they currently enjoy. Both are on the downside of there careers....and signing them to anything longer than two years would be, well.....to quote a well known hip hopper.....ludicrous!

You just explained why they decided to opt out (pending 2011 lockout). Teams have a ton of cap this year & none them are going to sign/lure players with 2 year contracts...

...I know why they did it. But I still reserve the right to despise all the greedy, punk, overrated, prema-donas that are grossly overpaid in today's NBA!
