Hornacek a Candidate For Magic Head Coaching Job

The eye of OConnor has already seared Jeff's soul when Jeff dared tell the media that he wanted Kawhi Leonard instead of Burks in last years draft. The last assistant to dare question OConnors draft is still in Utah, but you won't see him on the sidelines, he can only be heard as a fill in guest on the local sports radio.

Nice. Almost want to promote Honacek. Any link?

Magic are just covering all their bases...just as the Bulls were when they interviewed Jeff in 2008. Personally I think Hornacek will be an NBA head coach someday, but he doesn't have nearly enough bench experience to be a serious canidate.

I always wonder why Gordon Cheisa left the Jazz.
Promotion. He was the 2nd assistant in Utah, was offered the position of lead-assistant under Lawrence Frank in NJ.

honestly i think they are including jeff on the list to make it look like their search is really exhaustive. i mean the guy has one year of experience as the third assistant. compare that to shaw or malone who have nearly missed on several head coaching gigs, and it's hard to imagine he has a real shot.
