Hornacek fired from Knicks

And to add insult to injury, the Knicks are going to interview Jerry Stackhouse to be his replacement!

You 'member this? I 'member

To be fair Stackhouse is doing amazing job with Raptors 905 and most of Toronto fans are hoping he will replace Casey one day. From all his interviews I have seen he sounds like extremely up to date and smart coach . Could be a new Snyder/Stevens TBH.

Holy **** that’s fascinating. And, yes, while this could be a Quin situation, you’ve gotta remember this is the Knicks we’re talking about.

I'm not sure he's a poor coach. He's been a poor judge of franchises.

Which franchises have been more dysfunctional in the past five years than Phx and NY? Brooklyn or Sacramento maybe? Maybe???

I'd like to see him given some talent. The last time he had any he looked like a pretty good coach.

Say it with me.

“Chip Engelland.”

Jazz need the shot doctor working with Donovan, Royce, Ricky, Dante and Jae. Even a slight uptick in makes from that group would prove to be pretty significant for this team.

My sense of Hornacek is that he wasn't really willing to embrace analytics as much as he probably needs to. I could be wrong on that but I thought he was also kind of sacrificing development for wins this year as well. It's a tough situation. I get why he took the NY job (duh) but it always felt like it was doomed to fail. If he wants to keep coaching he should probably latch on with a franchise as an assistant and build his credibility back up. I'd guess he could get one more look as a head coach in a few years if he picks the right program to work in.
