How Awesome is Bill Simmons?

Simmons is a bad ***.

Basically the only sports dude that speaks his mind instead of toe'ing the company line. (Skip Bayless and Stephen A Smith dont count, they intentionally say **** they dont even believe just to stir things up.)

He was awesome at the draft last night.

I didn't agree with every take, but LOVE his demeanor and the way he delivers sarcasm is well done.
I thought he killed it.

FWIW, Bill initially didn't like the Jazz giving up both Utah picks for Burke but then later he liked the deal. Generally, speaking I like Bill but I don't agree with what he is totally saying. It was the Clippers that went back and forth and during negotiations things change and so do people's mind. Doc did not want to be a part of a major rebuild and he did not want to deal with Rondo anymore.

Danny Ainge share some blame because he screwed up the KG deal not knowing the rules. However, Ainge is smart because he is tanking and going into full rebuild mode at the right time 2014. A couple of the later draft picks have potential to be top picks because the Nets are going to suck after KG/PP leave.

I like Bill Simons, but he's also the guy that said we should resign Al Jefferson and trade our young players.

He's getting more likable in front of the camera as he gets used to it, that's for sure. I used to think he should've just stuck to his columns. Jalen Rose is the one that bugs me now.

I really liked him and loved his stunned silence when the Celtics deal was announced. He'll feel differently when he understands that Ainge is going all in on Tankapalooza '14.

Shane Battier...oof. Whoever thought that would be a good idea is probably updating his/her resume right now.

Simmons is awesome. Too me he comes off as a fan just giving his opinion. Other analyst try to give their opinion off as fact.

Those interviews are always terrible. He wasn't any worse than the average ones.

painfully boooooring.

Did anyone catch him slipping in a statement about someone and a 40 off stage just before another draft pick? It was somewhere in the 4-14 range.

I was wondering if he was gonna be pulled off the air. It was the best draft I've ever seen.

The context was that they were talking about the "Block Party" in NOLA when the Pelicans got Noel. Simmons joked, as Stern walked out to announce the pick, that Stern had gotten a 40 for the Block Party.

I love Simmons but he is only for entertainment. His basketball analysis skills are horrible. He absolutly HATED Damian Lillard. He also made fun of the Jazz for drafting Hayward.

Great guy but his eye for talent is as bad as it gets.

That was it. It was fantastic! Thanks Cy!

For real...I think most of us could have labored through those interviews in a much less awkward fashion than good ol' Shane.

I hope he doesn't land himself in hot water over this Rivers shenanigan though...

Things are heating up. FAST.

The quote I just retweeted is an outright, 100 percent lie. I'd be careful, Glenn. Seriously. Stop talking. You are making sh*t up.
