Interesting topic of discussion! My first thought was that they could just have a sound effect and played it, then imitated it. But like you, I immediately dismissed that as a possibility and now think they were imitating a live siren of a police car nearby. It's the most rational explanation. Thank you for this email, I will check my inbox for future emails from you in the future and print them out to read to my grandkids.
