How do we match up with Golden State?

Say Curry hurts his ankle again and is out for the playoffs, could we beat them in a series?

If we are on a high from a victory in the first round of the series, like a sweep against Minny, the Pelicans or the Clippers, we could be dangerous, especially if a guy like Curry were out. If they're at full strength though I just don't see it.

Take the Jazz at their hottest in the third and fourth quarters last night... how does that team match up with Golden State?
You cannot take our performance against Detroit and paste it into a Warriors matchup, because there is no similarity between GSW and the Pistons.

Yeah, this is an old thread. I actually was comparing our 3rd and 4th quarter in our first game of the season against the Nuggets, so I am totally on point with my reasons for thinking we can beat G.S.

I think that we win a game against them this year. They're not the same team that they were last season.

I think we might win two games. If Rudy can sustain his recent play or improve and if Donovan rises to the occasion, with Ingles and Crowder hitting threes I wouldn't be surprised. I think Crowder could bring some nasty at the right moments to throw them a little. But yeah, realistically everything would have to go perfectly.

Klay Thompson broke his thumb. He’s expected to be back before the playoffs, but those are injuries that can easily be aggravated. If the Splash Brothers aren’t 100% healthy by then. . . it could get interesting.

With the team they’ve constructed, anything less than a championship has to be considered a failed season, right?

Both teams play 5 players at a time, make substitutions throughout the game, have a head coach, play most of their games in the US, and have players who are tall compared with other homo sapiens.

You mean the best roster ever assembled? Yes.

To answer the OP, we don't. Until or unless proven otherwise, anyway.

TBH, I've watch to much basketball this year... "according to my wife..." However, after watching too much BBall I've come to the conclusion that a lot of these top west teams lack mental toughness. They haven't had struggles in so long they don't respond well to it.

Just my thoughts...

Been saying this about Houston for a while. They're fragile. Wait until adversity hits. The Warriors, on the other hand, basketball wise, they don't look too good. They used to have strong role players but outside of their big four it's a suck fest.

Warriors without Curry are vulnerable, and right now they're not great (no Curry, no Klay, no Green), but come the playoffs, I don't really rate our chances.

Exactly! Any team with Chis Paul will have mental toughness issues.

Houston showed its colors when they went into clips locker room.

Golden state isn't showing up for big moments. Then you have KD who is supposedly the 2nd best player in the world and he Is complaining about missing Steph curry and that's why they lost...
Not big things but little things tell the story.

I still think they beat jazz in a a playoff series but i think it will be harder for them.

No team in the league has overcome as much adversity and come out on top like the Jazz have.

Hayward leaving like he did. Bargain shopping for free agents after losing out on top end options to replace him. Exum hurt in the preseason and “out for the season” on a dumbass cheap shot. Hood and Joe Jesus not playing well enough to fill the void on offense. Starting lineup sucking ***. Gobert hurt. Sucking *** on the road. Gobert hurt again. Losing to the Hawks. . .

And somehow. . . look where they are now. One of the biggest turnarounds from nine under .500 to nine over .500 (and climbing). The Jazz have a good shot at getting up to either the 4th or 5th seed. That’s amazing. They’ve been playing playoff basketball for several weeks now and are absolutely blowing teams out.
